Autos are just like fem seeds, which are just like normal pot, it all has to do with the breeding. Some breeders want to rush something to production and get it on the market as fast as possible, so they don't vet it out as much as they should or stress test it and hermis result. If any kind of pot is bred well, be they photo, auto, fem, or reg, they will not herm.
:twist::dunno:Well, Now I'm 3 for 4.
Out of 5 seeds I got from ( sounds like hermies ) 4 germinated and one dud.
Out of 4, three did the "change". The 3rd. will be terminated after this post. Two were executed yesterday.
The remaining girl, although maybe under weight for her age, appears to be happy and on track. ( I think... Now into week five)
Her photo along with the 3rd. traitor.
In all fairness this was more or less my first grow, and they received all my mistakes including:
. Too much water in the beginning. ( i will not use rapid rooters again, unless I cut them down significantly and also germ./plant them in the final pots ). This slowed their starts.
. Nute burn. I used half GH formula, and should have used a quarter.
. Mild ph fluctuations with water changes.
. Might have gotten too aggressive with the lighting.
.Temp. fluctuations. ( I was out of town one day. and the temt. got to 94 degrees F.) Although very temporary, I'm sure they didn't like it.
.And lastly, The LST i'm sure stresssed them, as it also slowed growth.
I do have one observation, and that is all three seemed to drastically slow forward growth before turning.
But, The one remaining seems to be doing OK. SO IDK... Bad genetics. Bad situations. Or me bad grower ?
