First Ever Grow: Beginner Questions

My next grow I’m gonna do a parallel grow with one in this coco where I do the nutes and one in soil where I only water for the first few weeks or so so I can (hopefully) compare the two and (hopefully) see if the plant with my nute schedule/amounts looks anything like the one who should be getting exactly what it needs. Not sure if it works like that lol but not being sure of anything and just doing it works for me because it’s just a fucking weed and I have no problem learning from failure. I’m pretty sure in a few grows I’ll have some good bud as long as I keep my eyes and ears open. Everyone has their way, I think it’s all about finding ours.

Starting to doubt my seeds are going to even pop in the paper towels. Should I still try planting them in the soil?

Don't get discouraged if they don't pop....I have never got any to sprout in paper towels though others do great....might be bleaching chems that are still present.....good luck

Do you guys recommend a 24 hour light cycle until they pop? Or leave 18:6 the entire grow?

Looks like my Vivosun 4000 already shit the bed. Got home and the light is at 100% but looks like it’s at 30%…what the hell. All of the bulbs are on. Very confused. So much for getting the seeds planted. Better now than later I guess. Super bummed out though! On phone with them now, but have to go out of town soon. Fackkkk

I usually do 18-6 when growing.....unless your in cold area and needing them on for heat I wouldn't worry about it since they are under ground "in the dark" till they pop through the soil anyways.
