honestly mate its just like painting by numbers.
when the number on the stick goes down, you put it back up.
when the number on the stick goes up, you put it back down.
thats it.
theres a bottle you drip in to make the ph go up and another bottle to make it go down.
if, like i do, you measure the nutrient strength in ppm (parts per million)
then u can also use another stick as a feeding schedule. in exactly the same way.
if the number drops, you add more nutrients.
if the number rises you add more water.
its really that simple mate. thats how i grew my current beast. just paint by numbers. when stuff turns purple you up the P.
if it turns dark you lower the N.
if new growth turns yellow you up the calmag.
thats seriously all you need to know regarding hydro nutes (follow the numbers) if you start small and work your way up.

fuck yeah mate thats exactly how to do it! wish id thought of that at the start lol. wouldve saved me a lot of stress. i know someone that uses those nutrients aswell but i cant think who. when it comes to me ill tag them in for you. for the first 2weeks you want to keep the ph pretty tight. 5.7-6.0. once theyre established you can relax and drift it 5.5-6.5. 300ppm might be a little high to start with, im not sure about clones though to be honest. i start at 100 for the first 2 weeks for seeds. then raise it by about 200 every week.
the idea is to keep the ppm steady while they feed. ie whatever ppm you put in, you want it the same ppm once theyve drank 10Litres. if the numbers match up then the feed strength is correct.
while theyre still fragile for the first 2 weeks, i use this stuff. its pretty easy to overdose them at the start so this saves me any dramas. 100ppm of that is all they get, nothing else. ive seen a guy pull 300g from feeding his plant just that the whole way through but i wouldnt try it myself lol.

oh, and i say dont use feeding schedules but i do check the manufacturers reccomendations for the ratios.
like if they say give it
2.5ml A
2.5ml B
0.5ml C
at full strength then id start with 20% wich is
0.5ml A
0.5ml B
0.1ml C
20% of whatever the full strength reccomendation is should be about 300ppm. if it ends up as 400 then i just add water till it drops.
i think all that should make sense lol. itll most likely take you a few weeks or so to get the hang of it but once the penny drops youll see how easy it is. total piece of piss mate. you can ignore them for days on end, its awesome !

haha wtf? i thought that was what frazzled your first one? i cant believe that works lol. im sure i emailed ionic about it at the time and they said itd fuck them up if you put it into soil. hmm... actually, come to think about it the same guy i know that uses it feeds his soil ones nothing but the smeg that forms on the top of his hydro res. theyve never been belters but sure he gets a few ounce here n there.

My ppm is at 300 with the clones right now and they standing tall and loving it thank god . I did alot o FB reading lastnite about my nutes . Guess I picked a really good line . Everything I read about it people have nothing but good things to say.

yeah man theyre pretty popular. do they mostly sort the ph out themselves aswell? sure i read that somewhere. i didnt know you could get nutes that done that till it was too late.
