She's a tad leggy but if I bring the cob she's under any close than 30" atm then I get a bit of taco leaf. Slight bit of tip burn at top. Must check that PH+ npk also threw some pistles on day 16!

Good evening Autonuts!

Day 22 in the groom of doom already and starting to get that nice cannary whif when checking in on the ladies!
A couple of days of low temps (down to 60 at night and not much better during the day) saw me bite the bullet and put my little heater back in for now. If you'd have told me I would struggle with low temps back in the HPS days I'd have laughed at you!

Today I cut a little stool in half to get my fan up a bit higher and put my humidifier up on bricks as it was starting to soak the side of the smoothie. Thinking of dropping pot size if I'm gonna run 3 next time to give me a bit of room for manoeuvre if nowt else. Still I have a little time to tinker with things so we'll see.

Got yellowing tips on new growth on all 3 in varying degrees so have backed the lights back off to 33' for the blurple and 30 for the cobs. Could be burn I suppose but thinking light stress as only the purple lemonade has had grow nutes. Can't find much info on the PH+ other than its humic acid.Weird that an acid take your PH up? Aim is really to make sure I'm feeding in the 6.2 - 6.9 range and hope for the microdudes to sort it out from there. I believe even biobizz recommended 6-7 these days rather than chuck anything at it and hope for it to buffer as I've done for the majority of grows myself in the past to be fair! Didn't realise how much N was in the magne cal either but still thinking light as I'm running about 37w per sq ft I believe which I also believe is quite high?

Again fairly happy, tip burn slightly worse than her sis. Both have only had magne cal n root juice.

Purple Lemonade :

Problem child lol. Lanky, the worse yellowing tips and early signs of k def I think. So had some grow at quarter strength. Hoped it wouldn't make her stretch any more and hasn't seemed to but could also have been helped by my temps stabilising. Either way I'm sure she'll be reet!

Been tucking a few leafs here and there and that's all I do with regard to training this time around! Wanna get a bit o bud behind me before I go down the topping/training root as I can be a clumsy so & so and don't wanna mess up this time. I have a mate who's a bit of a dab hand so might ask for a live demo when he's allowed to visit again.

Be good peeps and catch you soon for another update!

Cheers @St. Tom and nice to make your acquaintance! :d5:
They look just the ticket! Best of both worlds there! Was determined to have a bit of oscillation action this time around but this fan is already getting on my nerves! I don't like the things full stop but they're a necessary evil I suppose!. I think I'll invest if Rishi comes up with some money for the self employed sometime soon!

How goes it you naughty horticulturists?
Been a beautiful day here, shame I didn't get out to see a bit more of it but hey we're healthy so is what it is.
That said I've been off to the infirmary a couple of times this week, nah for the girls not me, as some tip burn I'd noticed started to worsen and turn in to tip twist and general ugliness. Received some really good help from a few of you and if you happen to be reading thank you again. I suspected I was giving too much light too soon and that may still be the case but for now I'm sticking with the blurple as temps are too low without.
What also became apparent is that I've been giving too much calmag from the off, pointed out to me by another fine grower. I was concerned about the lack of minerals in RO but I think there's enough traces in the medium for early life and lately I've been mixing in a small amount of boiled tap so will deffo be some in that. This take the Ppm from about 4 to 60-80 mark before anything else is added.
It was also suggested I should check soil PH to cut along story I ended up watering to run off with plain water at 6.6 and the run of measured 5.1 from two of the girls & 5.6 from the Purple Lemonade. This probably explains the few rust spots I also noticed on the Smoothie as I think calcium is being locked out due to low soil PH.
Rather than subject the ladies to a flush I've decided to just give em un PH'd water and hope that this will raise the PH enough to get these gals done.
So last night they had water only at 7.3 mixing half a litre of boiled tap into my 6 litre watering can. Good news is the tip burn and rust spots dont seem to have got any worse and where they didn't seem to grow much for a couple of days they seem to be back on track for now at least. I did ponder about watering at the high end of the 6-7 scale as I'm aware from previous grows that soil can become acidic. I've got a few things to think about for the next run but that's how it should be I suppose!
Whilst all this was going it seems I snapped a lower branch off moving them in and out to collect run off  clumsy get!
No major dramas, I was a bit concerned as it was so close to the bottom of the main stem but have decided to try and save it for now by splinting it but if it's gotta go ill probably cut it jus above the damage with scissors.

Some day 28 photies:

Had a little swap round and the purp lemo is now in the middle to best suit the lights which are now at max hight without major adjustments to the set up.

Well I'm outta here for now but remember!
