New Grower first blue amnesia xxl journal

day 23

Day 23 of my grow and the plants all seem well and healthy except 1 of the late commers that didn't take to well to a heat spike in the tent, slight sign of leaf curling.
Other than that they are all growing well and are taking well to 3/4 strength nutes, I'm feeding them about 1/2 to 3/4 of a pint of water daily.
I'd be interested to hear of anyone who has grown this strain before and could tell me how long till they start to flower? I'm getting restless now waiting for them to grow lol
Also they are really starting to kick out a stink now, a nice fresh fruity smell.

Hi kato,
those are looking nice.

Are the two in the front, criticals you mentioned on my journal?

Yea I got 2 criticals in there mate
Not heard of many people growing them around my ends so be interesting to see how they turn out. In big picture they are the small one at front left (19 days) and larger one back right (23 days) its facinating seeing the difference in plants in only 5 days! You can see the critical have the elongated leaves on them I also noticed that they were slightly lighter in colour, which I hope isn't due to any deficiencys, but they are matching the others for growth so hope they be fine.
Peace

day 26 its a girl

Time for an update on my girls, firstly, a couple of days ago (day23) the BAs started to show sex I saw the first few pistols appearing :)

Also I'm now feeding them on full strength nutes and havnt seen one bit of nutrient burn so I'm all good on that front but I have noticed a few tiny yellowish/brown specs on some of the lower leaves I'm thinking it could be a calcium or magnesium deficiency? I have not added any cal/mag to date but do have some, it would be good to hear your views, Its in the second pic.

One more concern is that a few of the leaves at the top of plants look a little droopy, but seem to be getting enough water and run off pH is OK so don't think its nutrient lockout, I'm hoping they will perk up soon.

I've got stable temps at 23°c and 55% rh lights on and have been lowering the light a little bit every day.
I can't help but think though that my plants are not as big as some of the others of similar strains at this stage of their life they just seem smaller but suppose this could be down to many factors. Tell me if I'm wrong but I believe the autos still gain some height as they go into flower.

I'm really excited about how these are gonna turn out and can't wait for them to start producing some nice buds, another update soon

day 34

sorry for the delay on my updates but is now Time for an update on these girls, today was day 34 and day 28 for the smaller ones.
over the last week or so I had noticed that I had been overfeeding them and they started to look a bit droopy, and on top of the over strength nutes I gave them by accident they looked a bit stressed!

after a couple of days of no water to let them dry out properly and a correct feeding they are looking back on track now "pher Wiggle"
ive been amazed at the growth over the last few days, and blessedinwashington if your out there I was wondering when your BA's stopped growing and started to produce buds. I was under the impression that certain autos would still be growing into flower? correct me if im wrong coz I don't know too much about this matter.

so overall I think things are going well and cant wait to harvest, as a matter of fact I have just got a small clone tent and im thinking about getting my next grow underway ready for when these move out.

also any opinions about giving them a flush before introducing flowering nutes?? again im using coco/perlite in 3gallon pots

until next timeP1090518.jpgP1090517.jpgP1090516.jpgP1090519.jpgP1090520.jpg

Oh man, that is crazy that you had a question for me. Heck if I know the answer when they went into flower. It seems it was around 25 days, but I could be off by 10 either way.

I came to tell you man, that this strain is incredible. I have been smoking it as my main stash as I really like the high. I can pretty much smoke it all day and not get tired of it.

They will continue to grow when they start flowering. Mine were growing in height until about week 6 or 7 and then filled out.

Your plants look awesome dude.

Oh the other question was about the flush. I have read that some like to do it. I didn't though I have though about it. It sure couldn't hurt.

And the clone tent? Hell ya man. That will help you give your current crop the time to ripen as you will be tempted to pull it before it's time. It took my a year to learn that and I am not sure I have learned it yet. I LOVE fresh off the plant bud! You don't want to transplant though, so you need to plant your babies in their final pot.

So sorry man, I hadn't seen these questions. I started mine in rapid rooters till they germed and then on to the final pot. This go I am different varieties and I went direct planting into the pot. They seemed to come up and start quicker direct in the final pot. They are only a week from germ and are looking awesome.

OK thanks mate. I decided to do that anyway so put them under the 600 48hrs ago and think its OK I got the light about 3.5 foot away at moment and plan on bringing down slowly. Blessedinwashington I was wondering if you planted yours strait to final pot?
Thanks

thanks for the answers man.
i suppose this time i wont bother with a flush as ive not been using many nutrients and only at about half strength. I may try it with half my next grow and see what affects it has on them.
ok now this is where im not sure what to do as id love to plant strait to final pots from the start but my clone tent is small and dont have the room for the 3 gallon pots. my other option was to use rhizo pots. has anybody used these before?? they are like small pots made of organic matter about 1-2 litre Iin size. these can be used for the firsr few weeks of growth, the roots are ment to grow through the walls and then you transplant whole pot to new one. sounds simple haha

heres a link to them rhizo pots

happy growing guys
