New Grower First autos, Amnesia

Thanks! Not bad for a single cheap-o LED. With the new seeds in I'm going to have to cave and buy a couple more lights. lol

Wow small but beautiful. Amnesia is predominately sativa, especially in growth habit, or at least the strain I have is showing it. Mine are about 18" with very long branching. Mine came from Canuk seeds in Canada, via Europe. They are definitely slower with the temps a bit lower. I quit firing up the woodstove every night so the temps are staying in the low 70s now. From what I hear through the grapevine they prefer it warmer but hey slow is okay for me.
Here is my Amnesia auto fem also from Canuk seeds,...topped at day 28 and completely forgot to bloom when kingdom comes...:cooldance: ,...

Took some clones for outside grow before flipping...they now sit in the wild and are growing healthy...

Great looking Amnesias! I'm thinking I didn't realize their nutrient requirements soon enough, I didn't get much side branching even though I did top them, so lesson learned. And yeah man they are slow to start flowering.

So, I just started Dark Devils by Sweet Seeds. Also Sour Lowryder 2, and Tajikistani Hash plus Bruce Banner 3 (this one was free) by The New 420 Guys. The last two will be going outside. I'll be changing up my soil a bit and lightening it, I've been watering every three days and it's never really drying out. Will be doing the autos in grow bags, turns out we have a great grow shop in the next town over. The plastic pots just don't breathe.

Temps up today out of doors, FINALLY into the high 70s, and the Amnesias like the summer air. I've read this variety likes a bit higher temps so I'm letting them enjoy.

Well, I was warned, this is a bit addicting. :smokeit:
I'll see how my Amnesia does with the heat this week. It's supposed to be upper 80s or low 90s a few days.

Looking forward to your Tajikistani Hash plant too!

I was reading about the region the Tajikistani's came from, and it's quite cool up there and the summers can get hot, a lot like the swings of temp in MI. Of course their light cycles are different. Where it grows wild it looks like that stuff we call horseweed around here, long tall colas. Haven't smelled hash in 40 years, but I still remember it. Just like incense.

I love hash. I used to have a connect when I lived in Germany that always had black Afghani hash that was super soft and smelled like dank black pepper.

Spent many afternoons on the balcony after those joints. I have a 4 week old Babushka Black and a just sprouted Afghani [HASHTAG]#1[/HASHTAG] going in addition to the Amnesia. Looking forward to rubbing some of those sticky buds and making charras

I'm thinking I'll actually brew up some bhang.
It's raining here yet again, and the temps tonight might hit the - wait for it - upper 30s. I was reading a book called 'The Little Ice Age' at the library yesterday. This age is just now ending, and I think we're feeling some of the results of the shift in the jet stream. Michigan is turning into Canada.

So my plants are about one week out, I think. Here's what I've learned.
1. My soil was too rich, and held too much moisture. During the whole grow it never once entirely dried out. Lesson learned. Mixing up my own this time.
Sterile potting soil, blood meal, bone meal, earthworm castings, perlite. If anyone has any further suggestions shout them out!
2. I waited the suggested two weeks before fertilizing, but I under-did it during the veg stage. This came from not realizing that the sativa dominant strains such as this one were yes, temperamental to nutes but not THAT temperamental.
3. Despite my hard, calcium and iron rich water, they weren't utilizing it because my temps were so low, and I'm sure other factors. Cal-Mag on hand from now on.
4. Sativas like it warmer.
5. Amnesias don't really care for topping, and didn't make a damn bit of difference just in this case.

All my new seeds have sprouted, took 2 to 3 days, (once again, nothing like a cheap heat-gro mat.) I'm putting Sour Lowrider and Dark Devil under the lights in two and three gallon fabric pots, if for nothing else to help with the water/evaporation issues. The Banner 3 is going out to the chicken pens. The hash, I'm gonna baby the hash, and hopefully get some clones into perpetuity.
