Finally got my hands on Mephisto Genetics

Congrats! I’m running Strawberry Nuggets right now, the sister to Purple Nuggets. Probably the most beautiful plant I’ve ever grown. She’s about 1.5 weeks off from being done, and has a little of the purple pheno in her.

I was under the impression that it would remain quite small, which I was fine with. But mine has gotten pretty large at almost 5 feet tall, with some beautiful Wookiee looking fruits. YMMV. You can see some photos of it in my grow journal in the indoor grow section here. Fast forward towards the last few pages if you don’t want to get better bogged down in the minutia. Not entirely sure if it’s apples to apples. But…?

I’ve noticed they apparently don’t yield so well too. But that just motivates me to exceed their estimated weight given by Mephisto. I’d love to check your journal out bro! Can you send me the link? I can’t seem to find it for some reason

I see that you found it. Mine appears to be yielding decently. I just topped her, no heavy LST. Once she started to stretch and flower, then I started opening her canopy up. This is my first run on Nuggets, so I don’t know if I got a freaky pheno. But I will definitely be running it again soon. I can already tell by the fruit formation and smell that it will be a favorite.

Yeah, I've been looking at a Wyze cam or something for time lapse stuff. Cheap enough @ $35 but I can't bring myself to buy one for whatever reason. I may treat myself to one once the Holidays wind down though. I've got a super small Youtube thing going that I don't update enough. And when I do, I always seem to be wasted. My grow thread here is the first I've ever done, even after growing for a good while. First forum or group I found here that isn't toxic AF. I guess I'll just keep that thread going until it runs it's course.

Those are re-releases of some older strains. JD and PN were originally Illuminautos released summer 2018. 3Wok OG was a freebie cross (3 Bears OG x Skywalker) that first went out occasionally sometime in 2019, and then was one of the freebies for a Star Wars themed sale May 4th 2020. Searching should turn up some older posts, but JD and PN have been out of stock for a while.

What point are you getting at here? I bought them from Mephisto, and wether they are re-released or not, Mephisto has a good name, and I’ve always wanted to try any of their strains. I’m aware they’ve been around for a bit, but I couldn’t get my hands on any of them. I found some grows of them from in the past, but not much tbh.

I’m aware they’ve been around for a bit, but I couldn’t get my hands on any of them. I found some grows of them from in the past, but not much tbh.

I'm not clear why you think I'm saying something negative about them, I'm just providing historical context. They were Illuminauto release Mephisto did back then, they've been promoted to Limiteds and re-released now (F1s originally, now F3s), as was 3wok OG. Those categories are meaningful in terms of how they do releases. Basically, they were initially one-off experimental releases, and now they've been more formally promoted to part of their main catalog.

I'm saying for the first two, you'll probably have the best luck looking for grow journals from around a year or two ago, because the first two have been out of stock for a while, and aside from a few people who got testers none of the new batch have likely been harvested yet.

And for 3wok OG, you aren't going to find any grow journals for it unless you know that it was previously released under a different name, "Skywalker x 3BOG" (and then, temporarily, "Ewok OG"). Those are the same strain. They didn't start calling it "3wok OG" until a couple weeks ago.

I’m not saying you’re being negative about it. I was just unsure what your point was. After I posted this thread I did more research on them, and found out they were older strains and the problem for 3Wok was simply because it used to be called ewok. I found more results that way a few days back. Thanks for your input
