New Grower Finally after 5 year of waiting, decided it's time for a new Grow.

Having a lot of trouble getting my other seeds to sprout, quality seeds too, Mephisto and Sweet Seeds.
The funny thing is, last grow I had no problems sprouting seeds, and I thought to myself that I at least I had that part right.
And now, nothing will pop. just the lone Ravenberry.
Been following this way Germination: The Ronin Way | The Autoflower Network
Got 5 seeds I waiting to germ, they are from the same packet though, so maybe they are just no good.
3 I have been waiting 15 days :yoinks:
And 2 I have been waiting 4 days.

Just hope my luck turns, want at least 2 maybe 3 going.

Temps have mostly been 25 C/ 77F on the heatmat using the inkbird.
Sometimes it does drop less and sometimes a little over,
But I have seen it lower more often.

Thank DDubs, I'll keep watch over the temps. :d5:

I'd be leery about going over 25C. Do you pre germ and plant? I was having issues with pre germing recently si I switched to direct germing in final pots and I haven't lost one yet.

Ok thanks DDubs, I just pop them in the root riot cube after 24 hours soak in warm water.
I could save money if I direct germ I suppose,
When I tried on my first grow, one popped and one didin't, but I have been having good luck up until now with the root riot cubes.

I run my heat mat at 80°F for germ and it has served me really well. I use a super sprouter with jiffy pellets and transplant after they pop the surface.

The couple times my temps got up that high (maybe higher inside the case I was using) or dropped below like 60F, I had issues. Too hot and I got mush, too low and I got a black bean. I don't run perpetual grows so I soak for 12hrs and direct germ with a humidity dome over top and leave the light on 24/7 till they unfold. I guess it all comes down to your perfected method for the environment you are in. The worst is losing beans while you figure it out.

hey @Don't Fear the Reefer sorry to hear about your loss - it sucks when that happens but it certainly happens...
When I first moved from clone only growing to auto's seeds were my nemesis - I did very well at throwing £50 notes out the window.

I found a faff free way which has given me 100% since then, basically, a little tupperware box with lid, half filled with worm castings and dampened - should be nice and moist, sit the beans on top of the poo, close the lid, sit it on top of your wifi router and leave it there, if you wait 24 hours of so and open it you will have plenty of cracked beans ready for their final pot.

For me it was about simplicity, I have the heat mat and the inkbird and the propagator etc...apart from the inkbird the other two items are gathering dust as this way just works :pass:
