Fem beans definitely have to be treated with a bit more care (watch the hot soil), but for small scale grows they make a lot of sense. If you're a micro/mini grower like me who can only grow 2 or 3 plants at a time, wasting a couple of weeks on a male really sucks. Assuming I have some plants that die, I'm still only going to need around 20 seeds per year. As you scale up to larger grows, going with regs and breeding for seeds definitely makes a lot more sense.
