New Grower feminized

Fem beans definitely have to be treated with a bit more care (watch the hot soil), but for small scale grows they make a lot of sense. If you're a micro/mini grower like me who can only grow 2 or 3 plants at a time, wasting a couple of weeks on a male really sucks. Assuming I have some plants that die, I'm still only going to need around 20 seeds per year. As you scale up to larger grows, going with regs and breeding for seeds definitely makes a lot more sense.

Seriously, if carpet bombing had any chance at all of working, all of the US would be grown over, just from the beans I've hurled out there over the years. LOL

Fem seeds are a seed you really want to buy from a reputable source.... If you reverse a female which is a herm you will see females,males and herms...fact. Any females seeds which have been made from properly tested females will have a excellent chance of being herm free. But finding a reliable breeder who is honest and str8 forward is the hardest part. Go with a tested strain proven by others... don't be the guy to test the waters in the fem sales... Space should never be the deciding factor...as autos show sex at a very early age and after you remove males there would be plenty of room for females. Outside there is maybe a greater need for fems then inside...

I'll buy some fem photo period seeds as it takes so long for them so show sex and I've got limited space to grow them in. But for autos I prefer regulars. I've got a separate area for vegetative growth, so can start a lot in small pots and after then sex, plant the females into bigger pots and then under the flowering lights. Works out very well that way and I save a lot of money when you consider that fem seeds are generally twice the price of regulars.

Unless your a total moron and buy seeds from one of the jerks who sells fem seeds for $100 a seed, then if its 3-6 bucks then who cares about the price if you know what your getting...and of course you know how to grow. Making seeds is alot of work and proper selection takes time. I have wasted many grows making seeds when I could of been concentrating on bud production, the money I wasted making seeds over buds would of bought me all the seeds I ever needed...2 cents.
