Fem seed harvest coming up. Help me choose a pollen donor!

WOS use a lot of pure land race stains in there genetics and there solid. If you want to get canned then I would use your PR (Afghan Kush Ryder by WOS is also very strong, supposed to be one of the strongest autos for TCH), also try taking her to a 50/50 amber stage if you want that heavy stone and if only doing one branch.

I've seen people using CS and they heavily spray certain branches on there plants before sex and into pre flowers, and they got tiny balls eventually.

I wouldn't smoke your seeded bud after CS man, its quite dangerous.
:2cents:

nah not gonna be smokin the turned plant, just the other females im pollinating. THink i will make some bubble hash out of what thc is left on them.

This fem seed harvest im gonna be using for a guerilla grow and to sell seeds to close friends for cheap. So when it comes to harvest i think i may very well leave a few plants to turn 50:50 like u say and sample it out of curisoty. I also think i will be letting the majority of them turn amber to about 30% at most, i usually only wait till 10% are amber of my reg plants ive done, so im gonna slowly push forther and further and see how the high changes. I do like those couchlock highs too :-D :-D Thanks for the reply

thc production is reduced but it will still make good hash maybe less of it

i disagree completely

many breeders have claimed the best smoke they ever smoked was seeded bud

i had a seeded c-99 so covered it honestly looked like i threw crushed glass at the fan causing it to blow and stick to the plant , most i ever seen in 30+ years growing

peace

EDIT : bud production is slowed due to energy being put into seed production , thc production continues to protect the plant , seeded or not and ime moreso when seeded

hmmmm very interesting :-D

I got an autoxtreme about 12 days old (i didn't make a note of when she went down and then my brain melted) and i also have a supersonic crystal storm and a pakistan ryder, both about 2 days old, which will be the recipients of the xtreme 'female pollen'. Exciting times!!

The lowlife white widow auto just failed to open up from seed. The actual seed was misformed. So im kinda pissed off with attitude seed bank because it was obviously to see the seed was fooked. It was even a kinda bland yellow colour. WTF. anyway, i also have a 2 day old La bella afrodita, which i growing out with just one cotyledon, so im just waiting for her to sort her shi*t out and catch up with the other two. So gonna be pretty cramped in there soon. I have no problem with cutting the auto's back as much as i need, because even if I have to chop the plants back 3 times, ill still probably end up with 50 seeds per plant, much better than the £7 per seed investment i made to start with.

I've also got all these girls under 12/12 light cycle, so i won't know if these plants will carry on the auto trait or not, as i won't be able to distinguish the auto phenotypes. Not possible to do a 20/4 cycle though, too hot, too bait. Got a few other light dependant strains in there too anyway on 12/12 from seed; durban poison fem, lemon skunk fem and a critical fem. ALL will be LST'd to the max threshold.

OK this grow is well under way. I actually posted the grow log on another sub-forum, so my bad.

Here's a run down: I germed the autoxtreme first, then when the first female preflowers appeard I started spraying all the leaves and branches EXCEPT ONE with colloidal silver to induce the plant to turn hermaphrodite, in order to yield 'female pollen'. The sprayed leaves were f****d after two days, so I did some research and found out that its only necessary to spray the branches and node area. SO my plant looked like it was near death for the first four days. Then it started getting greener, although the sprayed branches stayed stunted in growth but the 1 unsprayed branch shot up. Anyway, it took about 1.5 weeks till I was sure there was little 'male' balls growin in the buds. At that point I stopped spraying (and ran out of spray lol) but anyways, its now been about 2.5 weeks and some of those balls have ripened and opened up. I was really worried because when I shook the branches over a black surface, no pollen fell down. So i did some more research and found a method that IS: take the female pollen flowers that are juuuuust about opening up and put this in a foil lined small tub. Then open them up with a stanley blade and agitate the bananas to test for the presence of pollen. about 80% of the tested sacs were sterile, but I did find some that had a bit of female pollen in. So I got a cotton bud (q-tip) and brushed the salvaged pollen over a female sueprrsonic crystal storm and a female pakistan ryder. These two girls were germed 10 days behind the xtreme. Anyway I have no idea if any of the female pollen actually got onto the other two girls female flower pistils, so im gonna have to wait and see. Does anyone know how it works? Is it like if a pollen grain hits the hairs (pistils) then the DNA is instantly transferred into the hair and makes its way to the seed pod?? I still have sum cuts of unripe female pollen flowers in a cup with foil for collecting any pollen. I'm just gonna repeat the pollen collecting process for the next week or so and hope for the best. :pass:

Today I shook those pre-harvested 'female pollen' sacs up again in the foil box, and used the tip of my finger to gather a 'dab', which I applied straight to the other two girls pistils. This method seems allot more efficient, because I can actually SEE the pollen covered over most of the pistils of the supersonic-crystal-storm and Pakistani ryder plants now. So I'm pretty sure that if I'm gonna actually get ANY feminized seeds then I've done all I can. :peace:

kung... "hermi" is the wrong term here. "hermi" is always bad. Your working with female pollen.

yeah I don't mean genetically induced hermie, I mean CS induced hermie............I mean hermie as in both male and female morphological sex features. In the post a couple above my last one I do refer to the autoxtreme pollen as 'female pollen' but yeah I know that some people could get confused my bad :smokebuds:

*just edited so It makes a bit more sense
