Feature Request

So why is that?
To be honest. I don't understand the whole Blog feature, but that's probably me not taking enough time with it.
I've read the tutorial, but found it way to complicated. Maybe a video tutorial exists for the addon?
I do like the fact that people can chip in and help me in preventing to do something stupid and if that clogs up the thread, then I'll gladly take it

I also really prefer the thread format for that reason. Its plenty easy to flip to reader mode if I don't want things "clogged" with an efficient use of thread marks. I think blogs are more of a hassle to navigate and really it adds on to loading time and stuff that you're not dealing with in threads. Plus the whole blog post/discussion post thing is disjointed, you have to go back and re-read the blog post in order for any discussion to make sense.

Can echo what's been said really @Son of Hobbes , threads are just a cleaner and more familiar way of browsing. The blogs throw you around a bit and since not so many people reply in them, there's not often much reward for navigating through. Not clamouring for you guys to can them or anything, but if the option wasn't there I think we'd have more cool threads :smokeit: :peace:

I may have a different idea behind the whole thing but I see blog posts as more accurate and clear to read + more organization when writing it.
I am a fan :smoking: :cools:

That makes at least two of us. :pass:

I like blogs/logs because I'm trying to create permanent, searchable grow records for specific strains. With the blogging feature the record is unclogged with extra narrative and comment threads are separate. A thread containing everything anyone wants to contribute might be useful to some people but mixes up that record with bunch of extraneous noise - not saying some of it isn't useful, of course.

This can be largely mitigated with threadmarks and the reader mode option.

That's pretty much me as well, too complicated. I have tried the feature, but gave up due to the complexity & the fact my blog got virtually zero hits compared to a thread I've created.

I'm sure it's not really difficult once you get into it, but I come on here to show my pics & chill & not to learn another IT skill, so I take the easier path.
