ok so I bought a pack os seeds called speedy chile from royal queen seeds. it's the variety labed as fast flowering.

I popped the seed, and have kept it alive in my veg tent as a photoperiod strain, no problem. I took clones and have shared them with many friends. It smells lovely in veg and is a voracious little plant. it seems very healthy!

for most, they are like mine, still vegging along outside in the sun turning into beasts, they wont flip for another month i expect... but for 2 of my friends (growing separately) they have full on began flowering already! how is that possible? from the same plants (they are clones) as my own? they are not doing light dep or anything special. they are shocked too

could it be stress related somehow? not heard of this one before.

their plants look great btw. i'm keen to see when they finish for them.

I've seen this even with full photo genetics right now I have colossal purps and it's been grown under 18/6 from day 1 I have 2 doing this plus 1 that did that last run. And last year I grew a Dutch passion passion#1 and I was growing autos while vegging soon as I put it outside it flowered for like 10days then re vegged. I just did a test with a auto to photo cross that I made awhile ago it was f1 I took a male and pollenated a photo fem the resulting offspring 50%ish seem to start flowering @ any point the rest soon as you start taking away or losing light they start to flower they don't seem to love 18/6 but I think that the fast flower are a full class of there own. Also as for clones I have pics of a dinafem blue widow side by side everything was the same and the results couldn't have been more different not sure why/what caused this but that's when I said seeds only lol. I can try to find pics if interested it was 2yrs ago almost exactly.

Thanks for the reply!

OK I think I see what you are saying. the change from 18/6 to 14/10ish was too drastic. the BOTH put their plants out mid may they said. I looked that up and may 15th would mean 13h 52 min of light and therefore 10h 8 min of dark.

I recall from prior research that 10h of darkness is the magic number to make a photo period plant flip. So this is making more sense. I didn't put mine out until well into June.

Regarding your 2 clones that turned out vastly different. Were they both healthy? Did one give you any issues compared to the other? If it's not too much trouble I'd like to see the photo for sure :)

Both were same a far as stress ect they were literally grown side by side same nutes same medium I will go on computer tonight and find it
