Wow! Really? They are drinking over a Liter each...Every day!?!?

Well I don't think they're drinking all of that. I've been trying to keep their pots wet. And that gallon is spread out over the course of the day.

The reason I ask, I have been toying with different watering amounts for seedlings. I'm trying to find what works best for me. My current babies have been overwatered.
I feel like, if I give them to much water early, the roots don't get there for a while. So, I lift the pot, it feels hefty so I leave it. Then, they pout. I get discouraged thinking...Okay...The roots must be dry but the very bottom is holding water. I think I may need to go back to watering very lightly, more often. It worked for me.

From what I've read, the seedlings need smaller amounts but more frequently.
So I'm watering like 10 times a day. That may not be doable for some.
