Looks like final countdown has started. Growth has pretty much stopped as the buds are generating more and more trichomes.
I sprinkled a pinch of ash on the soil and watered with nutrient solution. This time I fed her half the N. I also added some melted snow in there because I could tell she absolutely loved it the last time. 1ml of water saturated with baking soda took the pH of the feed to about 6.5. Based on the run-off pH I think the pH of the soil should now be really close to neutral, which is good.
Oh, yeah and I snipped off most of the remaining sick, shaded and malformed leaves. She doesn't need those.
I was reading horror stories about N toxicity during flowering, and decided to flush just in case I had a lot of build-up in the soil. I ran 2l straight tap water (6.8 pH) through the pot and then 0,5l of water with molasses, epsom and bloom. Hopefully I wasn't too late.
Geesh I make it sound worse than it probably is... :roflcry:
Its crazy how soil is hard for some whilst others find it difficult to use hydro, I would have lost lots if I was using hydro. I find soil easy to grow but not so easy to "control"
We're almost 10 weeks in and the flowering is still somewhat inhibited by the abundance of nitrogen. It's getting better, though. With any luck I'll still be done making cannabutter by Christmas eve.
Despite all the growing pains she's nearly doubled the size of her buds and trichome production is off to a nice start.
Was just wondering how this is going, looking great! If this is yer only herb though I'd think about saving it for smokeable stash though haha not butter but it'll be fun either way Nice trichome layout too.
