Hi guys. My new grow is about 18 days along. Plants are putting on great growth. I noticed some discoloration. I'm growing in foxfarm ocean forest soil, it tents to run hot at first. So I'm not sure whether my plants are graving or having to much of a good thing.

Watering with pH at about 6.2

Looks like a cal/mg deficiency to me....are you using any cal/mg?

....looks like probable nute burn and/or a pH issue karl,.. fill out that patient form in the colored section above here, I need more details to figure this out for sure,.. just c/p it into here and fill in the info please,....
...that FF soil is horrid shit, likely suspect with this in part at least, so next grow, switch to something else.

While we appreciate the community enthusiasm to pay things forward and get growers back on track (we really do! we're built on it!) - could the diagnostics in sickbay please be left to the sickbay staff.

Diagnostics by a photo alone is a challenge for the very most experienced, which is why the staff also ask for the infimary form to be filled out to get to the bottom of the cause, rather than making a potential "quick fix" that could likely cause problems down the line.

Any moderated posts will be put back - once validated by the infirmary staff.

:thanks:

Personally, I like to see the often diverse speculation about causes and fixing problems. But I know enough to wait for the full needed information to be presented and then for actual experts or those whose views I've otherwise come to respect to comment.

But I can see how those posting about problems might act hastily and/or wrongly based on partially-informed responses, worsened by these responses coming from those less knowledgeable and experienced.

There's still plenty of diverse speculation still about Bll    ... I think when information is posted within someones thread, it's up to the grower to decide whether they want to give it a try.

But when people post in the infirmary - We feel they're expecting the answers to be "by the book" ..chapter and verse according to best modern practices ... which is quite a daunting task to be fair  ...

I try to stay well clear of it myself - as enthusiastic (and experienced, some would say) as i am ... I am NOTORIOUS for ballsing up a diagnostic  ... I've learned to leave it to the people who know. I'm sure @Waira has considered thread banning me from here at least once :coffee:

I’m speaking out of turn I’m sure... but I agree with you on the different opinions etc. on other people’s experiences with “issues”.
I on the other hand look at an auto as almost an emergency in which some people cannot afford to “wait” or wade through all the red tape before finding an answer...
with autos... having to “wait” for the cure is sometimes more detrimental than having to wait for an answer from some GURU that “might” get back to,you.
Just my $.02✌

Not having a pop here bud ^_^ ... but as I wrote in reply to Bll ... there's plenty of opportunity for people to spread their ideas (and you do) within peoples threads. and it's up to them to decide whether they want to take the advice.

I'm not calling anyone out on deficiencies / plant problems / nute uptake ranges etc... as i'm not qualified to, but the sickbay can easily become a hive of conflicting opinions from growers of different levels and backgrouds ... but not necessarily the right information that the grower needs.

It can become rather frustrating for the staff who have poured countless hours over the years fixing 1000s of grows ... independantly doing research over and above the call of duty ... to have a hotbed of gut feeling and anecdotal responses conflicting with the advise that they would have given based on the appropriate research and aquired knowledge.

Sorry if that was wordy - I'm trying to not come accross mean or "pointy" ^_^

As i said before - it all comes from a good place, & we all want the same thing - a good growing community getting the best help and furthering their own skills!
