I think it's called a ardent cooker I've had it for long time it's a tin can I fill with cannabis and place it in heating thermos basically and let it bake my cannabis into edible use. I then put it in the nitro bullet chopper and cut it to fine power like kinda. Then it seems to need more curing time to build up potency. I then add to my breakfast one or two tsp small amounts I don't go over three tsp because it can lock you up in pain uncomfortable. Plus dosage amount depends on potency in a tsp, one might be stronger than another batch weaker might dosage another tsp. Usually just the one dosage with breakfast works good for entire day. But my question is what is proper way to cure my cannabis for this type process usage? Do you cure different for this type edible usage? I kinda thought if I'm baking it maybe it doesn't even need cured? But I need help on proper curing for edible baking usage. Thank you.

I'm not an edible expert, but from all the conversations I seen on here, curing is not necessary. On a side note, I been sitting on an oz of keif, and would like to try my hand at some edibles using that, but not sure about amounts.

Perhaps look at the THC levels dispensaries report for comparable keif/hash, such as maybe 50%, and calculate from there, such as 1 gram at 50% contains 500 mg and presume say 10% of THC is lost with decarbing (not decarbed); and you have 450 mg THC and could make 45 x 10 mg/edibles. Then calibrate your dosage by starting low (for some, 1 x 10 mg could be enough; for others it'd be a slight buzz) and work up.

Simply put, without the math: If not done already and you will not be cooking/baking with the keif, decarb it (such as put in oven at low 200˚F for 40 minute), then break up and mix it well with whatever food, gummies, etc. you are using as a base, and bake/cook that if that's part of the preparation (or if you otherwise haven't done decarb). As long as you dilute the keif enough, mix it to a low concentration, you'll be able to safely calibrate dosage by ramping up.

I use likely the same silicone mold. But I start with a gram of dispensary-purchased concentrate, add this to melted high % cocoa chocolate, mix and decarb in oven at low 200˚F for 30-40 minutes, pore the hot mix into the mold, and store it in the freezer.

The prior message did not mention a decarb/heating step, which is simply essential if will be consumed/eaten.

I use rosin for all my edibles. Using kief, bubble hash, or flower is a mistake imo unless you like chewing on a bud or having stuff in your teeth. You will get a much better effect and experience with using a concentrate that has gotten rid of all the plant matter. I roughly calculate ther rosin around 800 to 850 mg per gram of rosin used. Then break that down by how many gummies or whatever you are making to figure out the strength of each edible. I personally medicate for a range of pain and anxiety so knowing your cultivars and how they interact with your personal endocanabinoid is very important when taking edibles. I personally like to start out at around 150 to 250 mg every morning to get things rolling. I have a ton of information on making rosin and edibles on my thread. Also on how to make bubble hash and dry sift. Best of luck with your edible journey!
