Early lighting for seed/seedling

Good day,
I'm new to the forums and new to growing, but I sure got the itch to get started. I've got almost all my supplies but I have questions and was hoping I could get some help.

Is it ok to put a fresh seed or seedling under the grow light I am going to be using for the whole grow? I plan on using a root riot pod in a water only mix in a 2 gal fabric pot.

What do you have for a light and what are you growing in?
What do you want to grow Auto or photo?

I just pulled out my 4 bulb flouro fixture for early seed stages so I don't fry them with the Leds. Tell us or show us what u got and people will steer you in the right direction.

Thanks for the welcome guys. Gonna try to grow some auto, fast buds Auto Russian. Got a 2x2x4 (ft) tent. My light is a blurble with 2 cobs, Amazon product
Growing in coast of Maine super soil, got it today locally at a garden center for a great deal and it looks choice!
I've been reading and researching nonstop while buying all my supplies one thing at a time. I am happy, eager and almost ready to start!

Thanks FTF! manufacturer also says 36-40" for seedlings.
