Hi Seymour and Everyone,

First time grower of auto flowers and have been doing a lot of searching online and I am amazed at the results you get compared with anything else i have seen.

I want to replicate your setup as closely as possible although i have a lot more space and plan on growing 3 plants all the way through.

The main questions that i have are:

are brand name LED grow lights that much better than the cheaper chinese ones from ebay?

How often do you change your water/check the EC and PH?

How many LED lights can I use, would adding more light later in the grow be better and can i give them too much light?

I would really appreciate any help I can get (especially with the setup as this obviously make a lot of difference)

Thank you to everyone who helps out in advance.

When I start my Grow i will start a Thread on here.

Hello auto_mate, Im sure we would all love to copy SB's set up.....but what works for him, doesnt mean it will work for you. All growers need to find their own sweet spot. As far as a list of goods SB uses, he has posted those here on other grows. Check em out, not only are they great material to read and see the pics, but they have saved me from throwing my money away on parts lists on things I dont need or want. But having said that, If SB is looking for an apprentice, I would love to have that job!!!!:D

Thank Briman,

I have gone through all of Seymours other grows and have noticed that he commented on newer LED lights to get a better result and would like to find out more about that, I have never grown DWC before so I have to get a setup and start growing before I can find my sweet spot and by making sure the setup is correct will mean that i know that if something goes wrong it was me and not my setup :).

as i have more space and plan on growing a couple more plants i was just curious if i could have more wattage in lights/bigger air pump (i was thinking 100LPM pump split over 3 pots with 3 300W LEDs).

I have my own assumptions but would rather not make basic errors if I can.

Thanks heaps guys :)

Theres no real upper limits to how much air and light you can supply dude. Aim for at least 25L of air per minute per bucket and 40watts of lighting per square foot of grow space. Anything more than that is a bonus. You will definitely notice the benefits of pushing extra air to the roots. Growth rates between 10L and 30L per minute of air are noticeably different. VERY different.

day 63

my baby plant is now on pk boost this week @ 2.4 ec and ph 5.9, I say baby plant as she is being pushed into the corner by her big sis

the biggest plant is still on plain feed of 2.2 ec and I have been debating about giving her pk boost but I made the call of waiting longer im pretty certain she hasn't given me everything that she is capable of, obviously she is gonna take maybe a week or 2 longer to finish but can you even begin to imagine how she is gonna look in the coming weeks or even if she had been grown under the full 300/600 watts instead of 150 lol

dutch passion defiantly have another record breaking auto here but with blueberry and mazar as the parents I would not have imagined anything less, ill be really interested to see what people achieve with this strain when the seeds get released because as stated earlier in the grow I haven't pushed them that hard in terms of what they can handle and im only using my lights at half mast

300 watts of l.e.d and a basic feed can produce some nice results ;)
