Welcome to my weekly Journal of Dutch Passions Think Different grow.

This will be a very simple grow adding only some organic liquid N-P-K additive early on for vegging and then biobizz topmax during flowering. The organic soil is quite a rich mix and has worked well in my last grow and I am sure will produce similar results here.

I hope this will give a good indication of what can be done on a budget and with very little messing around with ph levels and nutrient levels etc...a set and forget if you will.. a proper pot plant just like in your house that only really needs water light and good soil.

Look at Seymour's grow with the new Think Different variety if you want to see what can be done with some real good kit and some real devotion to the plants needs, it really is astounding I have neither the lights nor the skill that this requires so this grow that I am doing is really for the average schmo who maybe like myself is growing with limited space, money and knowledge.

I had great success with the dp auto blueberry that I just harvested P1220312.jpg so I have high expectations of the TD!

I have planted the seed into a 20L container of organic soil with the centre filled with cactus mix to let the seedling establish a little before the hot organic mix touches the roots.

Lighting is a 250 watt hps and she was planted directly into the 20L container the seed germinating in the soil and has received a 20/4 light schedule up until now and she will continue to during the entire grow.

I am at week one today since she popped out of the soil and I have so far watered very little and ofc have added no extra N-P-K yet. I am not yet sure if I am going to LST or just totally let it grow wild I always have a hard time keeping my hands of my girl :twist:

Anyway hope this turns out to be as good as my blueberry I am expecting a larger yeild (in 20L this time not 12) and equally if not more potent buds...we shall see:toke:

Iv been waiting to see some more TD grows..

Best of luck, ill be following bro...

Peace..,

Nice Setup, and Good Luck 2 u with your grow!
I really like your DP Blueberry, looksl ike some tasty buds, and this run looks more promising :D

Hi Nineweeks, I have just pulled up a beanbag for this. Looking forward to seeing how you get on with 'real world' conditions. Hope you are njoying the AutoBlueberry stash!

Hi Thai Buddha, yeah you are exactly right. This can be the baseline that people can look at and go...Well if he can get strain x looking good with just a 250 watt hps and in plain good'ol organic soil then what could I do with 1000 watts, hydro, know how, mmm.....
Like I said Seymour has pretty much shown the potential of this strain with a nice set-up, and yeah it is jaw dropping, I hope to show the potential of TD under budget conditions and a more cramped space, and yeah not as much knowledge as seymour.

A lot of people will just never ever get an autoflower plant looking like Seymours Think Different due to differing circumstances be that space restrictions, budget, legality etc etc... however I think we might all be happily surprised what we can do with 250 watts and soil. I mean hell if it is a quarter of what this is then shit I would be as happy as larry. :D

you will do great man. ive left the door wide open on this strain ;)

growing in dwc is probably easier than soil, you feed once a week and just check the ph daily, my td grow has been the most laid back grow i have ever done and she has literally grown herself

im just germintaing some auto blueberry seeds right now and all the pressure will be off me for that grow, after seeing your results they inspired me so ive decided to use 300 watts of l.e.d and see what i can achieve

all the best with your grow man

sub'ed man, good luck with your grow, TD and some fast bud 2 i have is up for me next also. :peace:

Cant wait to see how this goes in soil as i know theres loads of people who love to just throw it in some dirt and let it happen.

sending your baby some good vibes

Ok just a quick photo update here at week two. Everything seems to be moving along like clockwork and I think she looks lovely and healthy at 2 weeks....I say she but has yet to show sex...next few days will become apparent. I have so far had no concerns whatsoever with health concerns or possible stunting.

Up until now I have just given water and then only a small amount, the water intake will ofc increase as the foliage starts to develop. I will be giving a feed of liquid organic N-P-K solution for a nitrogen boost to aid in leaf growth in the next 3-4 days I imagine. Other than it looks like plain sailing and it's back to the waiting game.:toke:

On a more sour note now and I have come to the conclusion that I am really gonna have to take northern lights down. She has just shown that she is female but she is gonna get in the way of the TD. At the moment there is no problem, but as the TD spreads out the NL is gonna shade parts of the TD.....time to bite the bullet and kill her and work smartly with the limited space I have, I just hate killing a perfectly fine female Northern Lights plant (albeit tiny :)

Anyway have a look at how shes going, the TD not the NL....she will be dead by the time you read this  But that will then at least allow TD to spread her wings without any worry of interference :dance2:
