Dutch Passion Dutch Passion Germinating Seeds

@Notaclue, as far as i know Dutch Passion has always delivered.

Normally when seeds dont grow anymore then a small taproot its something wrong with the medium or the water, its some kind of contamination in there there shouldnt be there.
Touching the root at that stage when moving the seeds from a plate/paper can lead to problems if your fingers/gloves or not sterile.
If they die in the soil/coco it's either to wet/dry or to strong lights that penetrates the surface hurting their root, if we assume your medium is having a correct Ph and a EC.

Autoultimate its one of their strongest plants with great genetics.
Ive done more then a few of that strain.
If you get your hands on some seeds again i will help you though to process. Just tag me before you start, its a piece of cake getting their seeds to germinate.

Putting the seeds in a glass of water and waiting for the seeds to sink its basically a bulletproof way to success. 12-24 hours in water (~20°C) and then into your medium works like a charm.

Tag me, and i will help you out.

:vibes: :karmacloud: :passit:

Top man, thank you. Appreciate it as I really want to grow it.

I genuinely think the seeds bank sent me old beans, they're a small bank, and when I said nothing worked they replaced the seeds no questions asked and I recieved them less than 24h after asking. Sent me Stardawg as a replacement.

I did everything you've said above. After the first didn't work I even boiled water and sterilised a spoon to move the seeds with. I've got them in a plate, inside a propagation box inside a very warm room. Even tried just the plate shining a hot light directly over it.

Im putting it down to bad seeds. I've only ever had one seed not germinate and that was a photoperiod Crimea Blue. Other than that every bean has worked for me.

You will be tagged, when the time comes.

They seem to have a vast stock of old seeds that have problems germinating. The problem is not so much with Dutch Passion themselves but with their resellers that keep this stock for ages. I had issues with 50% not germinating. I will not bother asking for replacements. I will just stop buying their seeds and turn to others. Their smoke is great but I cannot afford the time wasted. It is strange since fast buds or dinafem or sensi seeds that I have for ages from freebies and gifts, do not seem to have these issues. Dutch Passion must do something about it.
