Yeah BioBizz light isn't really the best stuff out of the bag Strangely enough the first ever bag I had was perfect, look at my plant when it was at day 29 and I didn't do anything to the pH!
Once I get the pH stable I think everything should be okay
Planted my two germinated seeds a couple of days ago I had to flush the hell out of the soil to get the pH up. I got it from 5.5 up to 6.2 with a ton of pH 6.8 water. I hand mixed in 3½ tablespoons of dolomite lime into each pot, so that should give it the boost up to 6.5.
I haven't got any pictures of germination this time round I'm afraid, I was in a rush to go away for the weekend. I'll post another update when the seeds break the soil Might be delayed a little as the soil is still quite wet and heavy.
Good news! One of my little seedlings has popped up through the soil and has started growing Unfortunately the other one wasn't strong enough to make it through the soil, so an unsuccessful germination on that one. I've put another seed in for a soak and it should be potted in a couple of days
Checking soil pH as well. The empty pot is at 6.1 and the other is at about 6.2 I think. Still need to get it up to 6.5, I'm hoping the lime I mixed in will do it's thing soon enough!
One thing I want to ask though. As you can see from the below pictures, the pot with the seedling in it is looking about 3 quarts full on soil. The other one was the same, so I went outside to see if I could pick the big lump of soil right up out of the pot. I managed to get about 75% of it out successfully without crumbling, but the rest did. I topped it all back up and put the pot back in the tent, then watered it. I don't want to do that with my little seedling, so what should I do? Should I just use a trowel and dig around the seedling, lift it out, then top the soil up and replant? Advice would be greatly appreciated!
First seedling is coming along quite well Second one has been planted a day ago as well so it should be up through the soil soon. Still working on getting the pH perfect but it'll take some time. Dolomite lime is the only way I can think of to increase my soil pH currently.
Gave it a feeding a few days ago too, Formulex and Root Juice. Noticed the leaf curling so I've raised the lights up a bit.
