  • Week 3 Update 3, Kerosene Krash x 3

Day 16 for our three ladies today, Betty in the Lechuza is loving life, she is now being fed off the reservoir and was topped today at the 4th node.

    Here's Betty before topping

Bertha in the 19litre Bloem Bagz is starting to catch up and is on track for topping on day 18. She's adjusted now to the Living Soil and really starting to get her grow on. :jointman:

This little lady is showing some really tight node spacing which will give us more branches to work with after topping.

To finish of we have crazy, twisted Beatrice, same soil as Betty etc, same conditions but she's not happy. The leaves are really waxy and firm like a cheese plant, very unusual.

I've made the decision to pull Beatrice from the garden, it's never nice but it is what it is. A reserve in the nursery will fill her space soon.

All three Kerosenes' are being fed just plan water only, ph'd to 6.5 and receiving approximately 450umols of light on an 18-6 schedule.

Until next weeks update, happy dreaming :toke:;)

  • I tell ya what, starting a grow n show in a completely new system is nerve racking.. I was expecting a few early days fails while I get my head round it, but I'm having to do surprisingly little... In fact I'm a bit redundant with just this one.. Its running itself lovely with just a tiny pH adjustment per day.. I've made a little starter bucket up and have decided to move her pre flower into another larger DIY bucket under the p1000 for the whole grow and use the oxypot 4 under the new light when it comes.
I'll do a full water change and set the air gap when she's got roots out the bottom.
    Happy days
    :d5: :vibes:

  • Day 24 - Week 3. Auto Skywalker is really reaching for it at the moment. Sprinting growth & quite a large node distance, but I think we're settling down now. Loving It.

  • Woop we have some roots coming through
I reduced the solution level to give a slight air gap now.... Just enough so the roots get good oxygen from the bubbles and a bit splashes up to keep things moist.. I'll do a complete solution change and up the levels as appropriate at day 14.
It's a small res for now so changes happen fast... I do 1 pH adjustment per day letting the pH rise to 6.3 and the re adjust to 5.7.. That gives it chance to uptake all it can through that range without getting too off course. I'm really enjoying dwc so far.... I love the clean no bug environment... Its all a bit Sci fi compared to soil.... I keep getting the urge to say "live long and prosper" :crying::stir:
