Hi Mad 212, usually you can start the hang the light higher around 24~30'' above the plants during veg, and when your plants adapt to the lights, you can hang them around 18~24''. During flower, hang the light around 12~18''.
Some growers prefer to hang the lights closer, but some will have problem, so please also adjust the distance based on how your plants' feedbacks.
By the way, please notice you need PH around 6~6.7, less water, nutrients, but more cal and mag, and RH above 50% during veg and 45~50% during flower.Hope this helps
