Good morning! I have a few questions I was hoping to get some help with. I have 2 plants that will be ready for drying in 2-3 weeks. I only have 1 tent with an exhaust fan and filter for scent. There are 3 other plants in the tent that have a long ways to go. Thanks!

1) Can I cure 2 plants in the same tent that I am still growing others in?

2) Does drying cannabis buds need to be in pitch black dark or is some light ok?

Thanks again!

Some light is ok dark is better but I wouldn’t leave them under the grow light. I’ve separated my tent with a piece of cardboard when that happens. Block enough light but still airflow around not perfect but it worked.

I was thinking of something similar. I can hang my light about halfway down the grow tent. I could hang the buds to dry above that. I wonder it it would be beneficial to hand them with a paper bag surrounding them but not sealed off.

Perfect drying conditions are 70°F/21°C 50% relative humidity and no bright lights. Can you get a tall cardboard box and set it up next to the tent. Duct it to the tent intake and pull air through the box into the tent?

Dang that’s a great idea. I could make something like that work.

A cardboard box would dry it out pretty quick, do you have a closet you could use? Ideal temp/humidity is 60*F/60%RH. "Low and Slow" is the way to go with drying, it will preserve the most terpenes and cannabinoids. Aim for 14-16 days if you can, then search on google for a good sweating technique. The cannabis will re-hydrate after it is bucked off of the branches, sweating will draw out all the inner moisture that is stored in the stems and buds. Once the cannabis is at ideal moisture levels it can be sealed up and you can begin curing. Anything below 12% moisture and a .45AW water activity level should be good to seal up without the worry of any microbial growth. I hope this helps! @Cm3000

Go to drying/curing section and check out the "paper bag method". I tried it and it worked great. (granted it was my first time growing and I didn't have the conditions at the time to hang dry.)
