You can re-use them when dried out... jar them back at saturated level 75 % and they go back

I bought some Boveda 62s a couple nights ago to use with my latest autoflower harvest (2nd autoflower grow). Much more stable RH in the jar than I had before.

It sounds like you're saying they can be rehydrated. I plan to keep my packs in a mason jar when not used. I wonder if a damp sponge in the bottom of the jar would keep them "fresh" (hydrated) between uses. I imagine some type of "stand off" would be necessary to keep the packs from touching the sponge. (Can they be over saturated such that they won't absorb more?).

I've read that we should be careful using them in vacuum-sealed jars. There have been reports of Bovedas bursting. Apparently there can be small amounts of air inside the Boveda pack. Enough negative pressure can pull the bubble through the membrane causing a leak. I read Boveda saying they're working on their sealing process to eliminate any trapped air. What I read was from 6 months ago.

If someone wanted to vacuum seal, I suppose the pack could be slipped into an unsealed baggy. If it burst, the spill would be contained in the bag -- not pour out onto the bud? I assume the open-top bag would allow the Boveda to do its magic on the ambient air. I'll play with this sometime.

All of my Boveda packs are well over a year old ... when they get a little too 'full' I set them out in a dry environment for a couple days and conversely if they are too dry I like to take them outdoors when the humidity is high ... I use a large Boveda in a 1/2 gal mason jar once the weed is in the 60-62% range ... I'm sure I have some that have been working for a couple years and are just like new ...

Perhaps if the jar is big enough you could put the pack in like a pill bottle or something that's open on top so it wouldn't spill if it burst open during vacuum sealing. Then set it in the middle and fill the bud around it.

What rh reading is considered smokable, I see you've said closer to 60 is better for smoking/vaping, but is 65 still ok?

I stored my weed at 70% for years but now I do it all at 62% ... thanks to Boveda. Generally speaking the percentage is what you store it at ... once a bud comes out of the jar and gets ground up it's subject to the rh in the room w/ is generally different than 62%. ... at 62% the weed can be ground and rolled or vaped immediately ... much higher and I like to let it dry for about 1/2 hr after grinding ... no real need for lower than 62% ....

Here's a question for yall. can you use the boveda packs from the beginning say start with a 69RH and then move to a 65 and then a 62 in order to expidite curing or would this do damage?
