Besides cutting down the Dragon Blood for a 4/20 celebration with Robwars .

I will celebrate at trying my hand at a batch of qwiso. I have about 60 grams of an assortment of sugar leaf trim. From Bubblesworth, Bluestreak, AutoCheese, and Dragon Blood harvests:dance2::dance2::dance2::dance2:

This will be my first try, only thing missing is the 99% ISO, :twist: hard as hell to find:no:

Anyway, the scale says 68.8 grams, but the bag itself weighs 6.8 grams. So we will say 60 even of trim

Hey fam.. K-Mart has 90% ISO.. or if you can get to the liquor store, Graves Grain is legal up there if I'm not mistaken or grab some EverClear 191.. I recommend you freeze the alcohol some to make it thicken up, kinda like viscous.. you know, alcohol can't freeze.. but if you throw it in the freezer it's a thicker liquid. Down here 151 is the strongest proof you can get, so I had to go back to actually ISO.. but if you can use consumption alcohol, why not? Same alcohol content as ISO. (ISO is cheaper, of course).

I've made countless batches of QWISO..

I'd get some high grade dishwashing gloves and use pantyhose instead of cheesecloth or coffee strainers, you may get some plant material with the pantyhose but I've gotten best results with the pantyhose after trying them, cheesecloth and coffee strainers.. use the gloves to squeze the excess out of the pantyhose..

Let us see how it works out.. use a glass dish like pyrex.. thin layer of liquid over it, no more than 1/8 inch deep, 1/16 inch is better.. keep a fan blowing over the top of it, not at it.. to blow the fumes away..

Straight razor will be your best friend afterwards, I usually get a fresh pack from Sally's Beauty Supply just for hash production. :dance:

If you have Meijer stores they have 99% ISO usually. 91% is ok...... but try and find some 99. No lower then 91 though. Also don't use heat to evap, or a fan. Nice ventilated room with some air movement is good.

Yeah, never blown air at it.. I blow it above the tray, kinda at an angle.. Like the fan is angled up towards the ceiling and the pyrex is beneath it.. I just do that to get rid of the fumes. :thumbs: Hope my advice didn't sound like using the fan to evap.

I've never used 99% ISO, if you can find that then that would probably be king.. I mean it's the highest alcohol concentration, but anything less than 91% as rob said is no bueno (not sure why I said 90%, it's 91% at K-Mart, just looked at my bottle, lol). Graves and EverClear are both 91% alcohol as well. :thumbs:

How long does evap take with 99% ISO typically rob? I usually get a batch done in about 48 hours with 91%.. is 99% a one day deal?
