New Grower Dr Feelgood

OK now I get it kind of like a Wanker. We Canadians have out own stupid things that we say all the time eh. Now and then I get reminded by my Americna friends that colour has no u in it. You probably think it does also. I now what lugs are but no American does.

yeah sorry "monging" must be a British term the same as couch lock, an inability to do anything other than sit an your arse and enjoy you high

Sorry Nelson I don't want to get pedantic with the vernacular but monging isn't like being a wanker.
Wanker is quite adaptable and can be said as a term of casual endearment or really have some spitting invective behind where as "monging" is most definately associated with sitting on your arse doing sod all whilst high as a kite.
Curiously though "mong" can be used as an insult meaning stupid again usually said in a casual and affectionate way, unfortunately the verb "to mong" has rather unkind roots and is derived from insults directed at people with learning difficulties as is "spaz" or "spiny biff" both of which are beyond the pale frankly whereas mong seems to still be acceptable.
God I love our language!

When you say "lug" do you mean ears, as in "bugger lugs" whereby a lady or gentleman displays sticking out ears that one can hold onto whilst administering a ruddy good seeing to up the windward passage

You got it mate. Box yer lugs if ya need some bother. My son lives in the east side of London he gives me my language lessons when he comes to vist don't he.

We could turn this into a linguistics thread - something I find very interesting, especially "on weed"!

So, except for the "monging" would that strain be helpful for insomnia? THC-rich strains usually makes me alert and subsequently unable to sleep, kind of like coffee! Need something that knocks me out, yet without being drowsy the morning after - which often happens after smoking hash.

I chose auto assassin because I'm a stay at home Dad and need a day "smoke" ( I use a vapouriser) because I have two very active little boys and can't be monged during the day and no it's no good for insomnia, makes you very perky and interactive.
People who say that cannabis makes you insular and unmotivated, too me, obviously have no idea about the difference between sativa and indica.

I like the idea of a linguistics thread, weed orientated or otherwise.

I can tell you I doubt it. After I smoked it I stayed awake in bed for hours trying to invent a new world order. The sleepiest pot I have smoked is White Widow but it isn't real great for insomnia. Have you tried Valerian? It grown wild here in Southern Quebec. You can probably find a tincture of it at a health food store. My wife, who is a junior witch in training, digs up the plant and puts the roots in rum and leaves tham there for six weeks. I really like the stuff it puts me right to sleep and has no hangover effect in the morning.

Here is a bit of Quebecois for the linguistic part of your statement. "Ca gele bien" translated it means I am frozen real well literraly I am really stoned. It is french but more importantly Quebecois is only really only understood in Quebec. Don't bother saying it in France no one will know what you are talking about. Should I be giving the phonetical prononcation?

My favorite day time smoke was a sativa of course cause I have things to do. It used to be Durban Poison. The only problem is that Durban Poison like most Sativas requires a long season and we occasionly have an early heavy frost and it just doesn't get a chance to finish properly. I have switched to the Super Cali Haze. It does finish in time and is also a great day time smoke - no monging here.

All in all pot is so misunderstood that I can't believe that the people who rave on about it have never tried it. Never mind knowing the difference between sativa and indica. My mother and I used to hide away from my dad in the sixties to smoke up. She loved it and I was her chief supplier Yes I dealt pot to my mother. I always gave her a great deal after all what is a son for?

A phonetic spelling would be very useful, you never know when you might fing yourself stoned in quebec!
