Hey, I am also new to this forum, glad to find it.
I have a 23 day Dr. F in my 7 hole aerogarden, it looks just like that other one just pictured. I found the best way to start the seed is to cut the sponge or rock wool almost in half, put the seed about 1/2" down from the top and close it up and put it in a little glass of distilled water so it can stand up, then put it under the lights. I change the water every day. I didn't want to put my new seedling in with the plant cause you should wait a couple weeks to add nutrient for the new seedling. Check it in a day or two and make sure the tap root is facing down. Then when the plant pops out the top and gets about an inch high, move the seedling down, very carefully, about 1/2 its length. This will help the stem grow strong and thick.
Hope that helps you!
