Has anyone ever tried smoking meat or veggies with the stems and trunks of plants after harvest? If not, what do you think that would do?

Here is some Fire BBQ I made.

Not sure what the stem/trunk would do or even if it would add flavor. I watched one of those canna cooking shows a few years back and
they did a BBQ with putting some buds in a smoke box that permeated the meat with the flavor of weed that was used.

I bet the woody parts would impart a light weedy flavor….or some type of flavor…. Different wood gives distinct individual flavors. Make sure it’s fully dry first..

Country style bone in pork ribs just with some season salt before getting on the grill. Then before finished with campfire bbq sauce till caramelized best I can as getting hungry. Wife made up some bacon bbq baked beans and side of coleslaw.

Now last nights grill escapades we got split bone in chicken breast seasoned with avocado oil and vegeta. Those placed on top rack of grill to not burn, flipping and rotating throughout. Sides of red potatoes that were cubed and par boiled then onions added along with zucchini that were cooked on the plancha.

What to do with some leftover bbq pork and chicken. We ended up making fried rice.

Well that looks like funnnzies, fried rice deserves to be the main attraction. Not sure if you read my little OCD fried rice guide a few days ago...I just created a book report, all the real work was done by Alex.

How did it come out?

I haven’t tried it….although I’ve heard a few people threaten to do it. Give it a shot and let us know the outcome!:d5:

You could use the dried branches for kebab skewers...same as you do with Rosemary stems.... :headbang:

I have Juiced fresh leaves......:headbang:....

Skewers are a great idea!
My dog gets a few fan leaves every morning as a treat when we go tend to the grow room….pouts if he doesn’t get any haha

thanks for the reps:bighug:

Cowboy beef jerky anyone ? I love it :clapper: I take flank stake and firm it in the freezer. Then cut with the grain about one quarter inch thick. Then I lay it out on paper towels and sprinkle the seasoning on both sides with a shaker. Then into the dehydrator until done these took 2 hours.
I found the flank in the reduced price area and the seasoning I bought on a special sale. The stuff is bite your fingers good when warm off the dehydrator :shooty:
