Cool thanks for the info. The autos i have right now are afgan kiush ryder, g13 pineapple express auto, big devil and northern lights x big bud auto. Are these more stable strains or fairly new?

Hey Doc, another quick question that I have is how much nutes do i use. Im using a 14g res and will have about 10g of solution. I have canna aqua veg and canna aqua flores and rhizotonic. Just dont want to under/over feed the lil girls. tia.

I've not heard of any issues with those strains. After those initial problems 2 years or so ago it seems the breeders are taking much better care to make sure their seeds are top quality. Nothing hurts them more than bad publicity due to hermies and other such issues.

I would suggest you look into LEDs or the Quantum Bad Boy T5s. Both are more energy efficient than HPS with the added benefit of not having to deal with the heat that HPS creates. I'm currently running three 240 watt LEDs in two areas and including my space heaters, hasn't added more than $40 to my monthly electric bill.

what about the cost of the product though? i dont make that much per month so my price range total is pretty much $200 or less. =\

Jarreck I have grown three of the 4 and they all are excellent strains! The northern lights x big bud is brand new but I am sure it will be fine because WOS is a great seed company!

That depends somewhat on what size your grow area is. A 240 watt LED can cover about a 2' x 2.5' area and cost about $275. The Bad Boys start at about $120 for a 4 bulb fixture and go up from there for the 6, 8, 12 and 16 bulb fixtures. Bulbs run around 7 or 8 dollars each. Again, would depend on the size of your area what fixture you could use. Both will run you more than an HPS system but over the long run will save you on money and the cost of replacement bulbs. Remember, a HPS bulb should be changed when they reach about 80% of their rated life. At about $100 for a good one, the HPS will cost more than the LED or T5 over several years of use.

what about the jump in electricity? I just found out today that i was approved for a energy assist program (i guess since im low income i get a small break/per month), and right now i average about $40/month with the lights [and everyday apartment usage] so thats not that bad.
i'll take some measurements of my grow area but its not too big. theres a shoe cabinet on the wall smack dab in the middle of the closet so it pretty much divides the area =(
i can fit two 8 3/4 pots side by side and those fit snug... so total, i have about 6 going at the moment.

Don't worry, it won't be enough of an increase to draw any attention, especially if it's only 1 or 2 lights. Even if someone did questions it, which I doubt, that small of an increase can be easily justified. Turned the heat up some in the winter, the A/C in the summer. Have been using a space heater, been doing some welding, etc.

Also consider a good gaming PC will draw up to 1,000 watt's. It could just be your top line "alien Box" running unreal tournament.. They don't know.. They like to watch for when big wattages turn on and off. Smaller grow's are usually hidden well if you live in the place. Tv's coming on, light's ect.
