they have been germinating for about three days... i just planted them in soil yesterday..size of pots is three gallon smartpots. i mixed some fox farm ocean forest with light warrior, hope this was good idea???? so i should go water and wet down the whole thing now??? will this not be to much for the seedling???

your in the clear totally when there that young. yes just water them fully till u see some come out the bottom then stop. you wont need water again till they sex probley. then your next watering u can feed a lil veg nuts after they sex

yes it looks like a good medium mix, its got a fungi in it n it awakens with water n warmth.thats why u fully sataurate to begin with. Even better, fully saturate a week befor planting n keep the pots in a warm spot. put it on the next time list

Awaken the beast with:wiz: n have fun. hope this helps

it depends if you got cold floors. i did this back in the day. I just put heavy duty styraphome down then clear plastic over that. but i dont in my tent i now have temps are fine in there. roots just dont like cold floors but if your floor isnt cold dont worry about it

Yes, you are correct, smart pots should be raised off the floor. The idea with smart pots is that once the roots become exposed to air the ends of the roots will die off, and become self pruned. This keeps the pots from becoming over crowded with roots. By raising them off the floor you are allowing air to reach the bottom roots so that they will also be self pruned.

hey carolina, if you can get some flat polystyrene, that will raise them and help insulate.

I've used a few pieces of 2 x 2s, one on each side. Worked pretty well. I've also seen them set on a metal grate, like an old oven rack. Anything that will raise them up so air can get underneath.

any suggestions on what to use to raise pots off floor????
