Hi guys, I was planning to harvest my last AU tonight, but didn't get round to it. Whilst I was looking at it just now I found mould in my top. I chopped it off and hopefully the rest will be OK. I tried to take some close-up shots of what's now at the top of the plant with my phone, and they are quite detailed, but a bit too colourful because of the LED. You might not be able to tell from the pictures, but the bud has started slowly turning purple here and there.

good for you bro.. you did a great job! dont even worry about that mold just pick it off. speaking of mold now that ya chopped her its time to read all those drying tech post.. its a pain but just start reading..

I read them all last year
I built a pc fan into the side of an IKEA cabinet, and use that for drying. The air is slowly sucked out and fresh air gets in through the cracks. It dries very evenly and not too fast at a constant @ 25°C and 60%RH. I used it for drying my harvest last summer, and my 2nd harvest this grow is in it as we speak. They've been in there 6 days. I jarred it for a few hours yesterday with an RH meter. It was @70%RH so I hung it up again. It will go into jars tomorrow.
My 1st harvest this grow is in a jar with a Boveda 62 pack @ exactly 62%RH. I removed the RH meter and the jar has been sealed for 2 weeks now. I just smoked some hash I rubbed off my figers after harvesting that plant, and i'm incredible high. Having trouble typing on my phone

Is that a plastic container? Are you worried about the isopropyl alcohol dissolving / leaching stuff out of the plastic that will concentrated in your weed oil?
I prefer stainless steel or glass.

Don't worry, it's a ceramic oven dish. It's the only one I have that's nice and flat.

Did you try putting a fan nearby blowing across the top? It really speeds up the evaporation time.
Can you post a picture of your oil?
What do you think of 2nd and 3rd extractions from the same plant material?
I tried a 3rd QWISO extraction... very little oil left, about 3 grams from a pound of plant material.
The oil was so thick and dark I was scared to try it.

It was sitting next to a pc fan extracting the air. It was dry in less than a day. I don't actually have oil. It's a crunchy solid layer
but I haven't had a chance to scrape it up yet. I'll take a picture later tonight.I haven't tried a 2nd/3rd extraction yet as I had 99.5% pure ISO and shook my weed for 1 minute. I'm confident I got most of the good stuff
