Lampey..."feel" the calyx with the Pad on your thumb..and your index finger...not the tips..
if you can feel a small hard swelling..that is it.

Empty calyx will just squash flat.

I have Never had one die before the seed finish..even on extra late pollenations..

Although plants definately seem to be aware of their state and react to
it

Yup..spot on...she WANTS to reproduce..

Have a great weekend....:smoke:

it differs from each strain but it takes ATLEAST 30 days to make a seed after you dust her. if you have the paitence wait till the calexes start to open or split but you really cant tell that much till they are atlest over 25 day br i would check.

Thanks for the tips guys, I got about two mason jars of good bud off her already so the rest can sit till whenever, I'll pop my head in every day and see how she's coming along. I hope they take!

Update:
She is definately seeded. I pulled two seeds a week apart, and they resemble the father in the appearance of the seeds.
Still waiting for more to open on the branches for picking. The two I pulled for verification are still a little immature, but are a light brown color with no striping alot like the Mi5 father.
If this works, I am making the name of the project: " KALi5 ".

I do have a question for any readers. I have a Onyx as well that is growing slow, it is a single to triple leaf , but is however producting bud. I have read that the leaft count is an indicatior of stronger genetics, ex) 11 or 9 leaf are a more desireable trait.
My question is why? And what do you base that assumption on?

Lampey..make that cross..or I will shoot you...:howdy:
small joke..

I'm assuming you are making one for pleasure...a little girl to call you own..
who doesn't have to be tested out to thousands.

Pet cross.

Just do it..it will teach you SO much...and give you so much Pleasure.

Any help you need will be here.

I have had AF's in f1 on all the photo/autos that I have crossed..
But..
I have to accept that I am a freak.

Speed & Safety for them....

I love this...

Ive got lots of autoflowering F1s from my breeding experiments. I’ve also got a lot of "autoflower" F1s that did not autoflower. Whaa whaaa...

It has to do with how stable the parent genetics were to begin with. How much time did the breeder you bought them from spend stabilizing them? Who knows except the man himself.

Start with seeds from popular strains, true breeding strains. Read about what kind of seeds the autoflower legends are using and take a hint.

Trial and error is a only small part of the story when you can never really go wrong in the first place. Remember I said that.

Hey Lampey,You should work those beans into an auto...it's been over a decade since I last smoked kalimist and it was some of the best tree's I've ever had the pleasure of enjoying.
auto kalimist would be outstanding.
