the girls are looking great man, 16%THC on the testing is awesome too.. i believe you said this grow was just for bud, but are you breeding with bigin 8 footer or just testing the beans out?

So this flower run was basically my trial at the farm. They wanted to test my seed and then the end product.

In exchange for running my seed and using their resources( space, soils, containers, time, and personnel) for the test they took me in under their license to breed at the farm. Allowing me to continue the lines to replace the seed that i provided. So i have them isolated in another section of the farm and have the same pheno expression in the breeding tents now.

This test has also landed me a perm spot on the farm and the go ahead to produce seed for sale as well as a perm line of autos running out there. Well be releasing the whites to the public first and then the colors will come out as fems.

I too was shocked at the low CBD numbers in this side of the line. However the cross was meant to produce better THC in auto form.

I'm beginning to wonder just how much CBD the ancestor rudi's actually produce! Still, it fascinates me how rec' strains on rare occasion seem to fire off those CBD genes outta the blue,.. I mean, look at Cannatonic's parentage and ancestry!
... have you had a chance to get with the crew and go over the numbers yet? My understanding, is the plants make only THC-A, any THC is from spontaneous decarb'ing,...

I am the same, i take the numbers with a grain of salt. Being in a place where numbers are listed on the back of the package rather than just buds in the bottom of a plastic bag, at first i was all about them. Until i noticed what you mentioned. The numbers on the buds were lower than the concentrates of course but the effect when i smoked them was completely night and day. For example, smoking some bruce banner flower had a more complex high than the bruce banner wax that i had. The flower had a more complex high, longer lasting and more rounded, for lack of a better word. The Wax was a straight missile, a quick rise and blast to the head that ended quickly.

@Waira i feel u on the oils and some other high test stuff. Powerful flower hits like a bull. Vaping oils didn’t impress. I’m a purist and love my flower. Gonna give rosin a try as it’s pressure and heat created. Also not sure but I know some oils r cbd only or thc only I like flower cause it has it al

-- good to know I'm not just trippin'! .... that superb fresh dry-ice hash we get from our Bubble Bowls sure does the trick though ........ time to run the last of my trim! I really want to make some good Cannalope Haze hash, but her trich' coverage off the buds proper is pretty meager,... might have to try a "nug run" on that! But her aromatics in hash form must be something else! .......... Oh about the rosin going from shatter-like to wax/budder, this can happen spontaneously,.. there's some damn complex chemistry going on in there, with the waxes, terp's (as solvents themselves), lipid chemistry all that stuff,... I think the state of "shatter" may not always be stable, and the right terp's (loss of?), wax content, env. conditions, etc. can play havok with this,.. I'll have to reread the chapter in Rosenthal's Beyond Buds book on this,.., for sure certain strains are notorious for this! And because rosin is so "live" and fresh, unfiltered/processed, made quickly at moderate T's, all these influencing components are still there acting,... I'd bet on THC-A vs. THC having an effetc on such chemistries and reactions-
no doubt, the Giant race is showing more Sativa' tendencies, including the longer life cycle... now that you have some numbers of them to inspect, are they all forming those more Sativa-type buds?
... night temps are pretty warm really, huh... so I don't think much color is coming from cool-affective expressions like P uptake and transport,... I sure am impressed with that KIS soil, it's largely held up amazingly well, given the size of the plants,.. are they guzzling the tea at this point too? .... bud pics are juicy! :drool:

Yeah i think that its not the CBD that they produce that gives the med effect, i think that it may be CBG. More on that once i get a better understanding on it.

So the THC-A is what they put on the package They test for a broad spectrum of the cannabanoids here just to see what she contains. They also test the terp profiles and i am waiting on those numbers and IDs to come back soon. We dropped off a sample at a lab this weekend so i am sure that ill hear by the end of the week.

JEM is something special, she is low on THC and i expected that and has little to no CBD. She deos carry a decent % of CBG and that is something i am looking into.

Yeah this is something that i dont understand and it is completely strain specific. I think it has to do with a lot of what you said and that is the chemistry that is going on there. I have tried to keep it in a cool location after the press but i still get the butter that i am used to seeing. Now this has all ben with ALF and i wonder what some of the whites would do. See if its different especially on the sati phenos. There is something different about the Trics on these as well as the structure.

We are going to keep the giant race for sure. We had talks this week about splitting the line to have an indica side and a sati side. The buds are becoming spears like @Rev. Green Genes larger pheno. The numbers on the faster whites are the same as the colored ones. We are waiting on the larger sati phenos to finish to gather numbers on them. Cant wait to see how they turn out as i think they might test slightly higher..

The soil...oh this KIS soil. They are on primarily water talked to the head grower to see how many times he has fed tea and the number was around only 4 or 5 times this round on them. The way they held up in the soil without needed fed is amazing, however the head grower knows his shit. The guy is talented and everything is natural and organic. Even the pesticides are natural, were using beneficial mites as well as other insects to naturally battle the potential bug problem. Everything from shake on containers of them to sachets of them handing on the plant.

Temps are held tight as they assist in the bug and mold control areas too. So they like to maintain a low flux in the temps during day and night time cycles.

Watch the munchies with that large sati pheno. The smaller pheno tastes like sweet tarts now. I'm actually guessing the THC in the smaller pheno is higher though. Will be awesome to see those numbers.

... I love the labeling! -- that's a classy jar of goodness- ..gold on black, a splash of color,.. it'll stand out on the shelves for sure...... that bud on the left is amazing for color density, she's nearly black! ...how's the Sativa pheno' smoking? Is she less nacro'-sleepie?
Super interesting and cool on the CBG!... CBG isn't nearly as well studied, but it does show some great activities: antiseptic/antimicrobial, especially against MSRA- ....analgesic, anti-tumor,... saw something about efficacy in studies on mouse models of IBS,... who knows what else more recently! The studies are piling up these days,...
I'm sure the gang knows some extract pro's, maybe they can get one to come give by and chat you up on the whole chemistry deal with them- .. I'm keen to know as well!
I hear you on the mite packs .. that place I've been talking about has the scattered everywhere! It looks like they were blasted out of an air cannon over the whole operation... Yeah, the T and RH% seem to be critical for the predatory mites, so much so that if it gets off spec' too much, they croak out ,...plus for them to survive long, they need to find food, which means you know what-

Yeah the size of them is something to see, the pics just dont do it justice at all. Walking among them really puts it in perspective that is for sure. The colors are just the same. Deep rich buds against that yellow is just perfect for a photo op. They should do well. Seems that the hairs are receding now the swell should be coming in on them. I am excited to see them this weekend to see where they are. They have that sati touch and want to take their time.

no spears yet, but i get my fill at the farm for sure. Walking in and out of them looking them over with a camera and a few scopes. given that they are in the system here in WA they are tracked from seed to sale so ill have to buy them to try them, other than small 1 g samples. Once the sati comes down i will give them all a test and report the feedback.

The marketing/sales guy has an eye for things. I like the product packaging as well nice colors to make it pop out at you. The color on that sample of Anvil is pretty much how they dry, they get super dark in color and the bag/jar appeal is just beautiful.

The satis will come soon, i want them to be able to have the full run on the light cycles, and we have another batch that is coming up behind them and they are both what we have already seen and a haze/ALF cross that i was working on before the move. The Haze was crossed to the larger pheno of ALF and worked to F2 so that should be something to see as well as far as the larger phenos.

Im interested to see what the CBG means and what we can do with it, its something that i want to run by the lab guys. We have a few places for testing but i have yet to meet them and need to take a trip with the owner and see what its all about. I think that i can pick their brains enough to figure some of this out.
