Hello, I am growing using the coco for cannabis feed chart. This my first coco grow using nothing but liquid nutrients. I am using distilled water until my RO system comes in. With the feed chart I am following it says seedlings need around 200 ppm. When I add calmag first it already puts my ppm at 200. When I add the other nutrients it brings the feed to 400 ppm. Does the 200 ppm or .4 EC of calmag count towards the total ppm or EC of my nutrient solution? I really don’t know if I am asking the question correctly. Thanks for any and all advice. Have a great day.

It does count toward the total ppm/EC. But the water+calmag will be your base since you don't raise the calmag. I start my seeds with 350 total ppm, 150 of that is water+calmag. But your numbers are fine. You can add a little more distilled water to your mix if you want to lighten it up a bit

Okay cool. I really appreciate that. Really excited to learn how to grow hydroponically in coco.

When do you fully saturate the pot? How old does the plant need to be before doing this? I planted my seeds in 3 gallon pots. They are just a few days old. Thank you

I do it from the beginning pre planting then they go at least a week before next saturation for the first few weeks fertigations are days apart but when I do fertigate I saturate the whole pot to 10-20% runnoff always

“You do not need to fertigate coco every day when the plants are small but you must water the entire pot to 20% run-off any day that you do fertigate. It is all about keeping the cation exchange in the coco in equilibrium. If you only partially fertigate salt build up begins immediately. You almost cannot over water coco. The droop you are seeing is most likeley do to rapid growth as long as your VPD is in range with good air movement. Some strains also have a tendency to droop more than others. Drooping by itself is not a cause for concern. I had a Dinafem Cheese plant that drooped its entire life. The buzz was good and the yield normal.” MOG

Okay. I am going to water/feed today. I will soak the entire pot with runoff. Thank you for the information. I just wanted to make sure I wouldn’t drown them.

These are the size of my plants as of today

No problem only time I’ve really noticed overwatering issue was when feeding multiple times a day on a Rez. When I feed by hand never had a issue with once day even when their young just keep the majority of the water outside of the plant don’t drowned the center of the pot stay to the edges and just give a little bit right next to seedling.

I really appreciate you taken time to help me out.
