Yep thats what I would do and make sure you have a fan hitting it lightly to build the stem stronger.
Your plant looks like its stretching or has stretched,so I would look at possibly lowering your light a bit too.

Like @Hashsloth suggested, put a fan on them younglings so they get nice and strong
And if they are stretching add more light or if possible put plants closer to the light, but watch out that you don't burn them. Put your hands between the plant and light and feel. If it starts to feel uncomfortable on your hand it's already uncomfortable for the plant so back a bit off and you're golden.

You can add more soil if you like, the pot is clearly not full.
It will only grow roots below the your current soil line,if you add more soil that will only help stabilize it a bit. The stem does look somewhat sturdy so you might be ok if you just get a fan blowing on it lightly to help strengthen the stalk.
Adding more soil will help to support the stem and eventually, depending on your pot size, the roots will fill the container.

Personally I would top up the soil to just below the cotyledrons, (the baby round leafs) that's how I deal with elongated stems and its always worked for me.

This would certainly happen with photo's, its called Adventitious rooting this is one of the reasons cloning works so well I believe, but tbh I have no idea if it works with auto's.
i would still top up the soil though, if only for support.
