Do any of you know of any bad effects from adding molasses?

All my work and journels on afn.back up everything I say.its not about who looks cool!!! Its about true info and facts shared for all to learn.happy growing;)

You are the BEST! Children shall be named after you.
Tales of your feats will impermeate the history books.

I specifically asked you for facts, but the only thing you say is "trust me". Go back and read my posts, it may help you become a better grower. I fully agree shared knowledge benefits the entire community, that precisely why I confronting you. Saying "just do it, trust me" holds zero value.

PS: I've been using molasses and brown sugar for the past decade in 100% of all my grows. All documented here too. Don't get so high on yourself buddy.

Even in.coco.u can add molasess in any stage.but in coco add it in bloom.bet u see a diffrence.and bet ur buds taste better;)happy growing;)
I agree it has benefits (but just not a lot, or only a lot for those fully tuned-in to using it). As I noted, I usually add molasses, but at less than 1 teaspoon (5 mL)/gallon (while many or most use a tablespoon/gallon), usually ≤1 mL/L. Growing in coco, I also consider adding enzymes as similarly also eventually feeding some carbs to the microbes.

It's like many other supplements - may or may not work for the grow and grower; it can seem to "work great"; but it's also hard to tell if it works at all.

@autobeast - there is some level of mis-communication here. I am NOT saying it doesn't work.

I am saying you don't understand HOW it works, and how to use it properly. You are using molasses with great success, which is great!
But saying "molasses is great, add it to your grows, trust me, I tried it ant it works!!" is wrong. Especially for new growers who might be reading in.

Molasses does nothing for a plant. Plants cannot process molasses. It does feed bacteria and mycos, who then transform matter into readily available plant nutrients.

If you overdo molasses straight into soil, it WILL cause problems. With moderation, no major problem, but is a waste. In coco, it is a disaster, it will clump your coco up and become hydrophobic in no time.

Use molasses, or brown sugar … which is in essence carbohydrates, to those WHO WILL CONSUME IT … bateria and mycorrhizae! Plants do NOT feed on sugars. Whatever minerals and NPK it may contain is completely negligible to the plants demand.

Saying "add molasses" outside an organic grow is irresponsible. You need a good grasp on reality to be able to pull it off.

Sugars feed bateria. Sugars do NOT feed a plant.

The absolute BEST use for sugars is to brew a bacterial tea = AACT = worm casting team. They will multiply exponentially is not time at all. It is the basis of all fermentation known to man. Feed this to your tea and watch the bubbles grow!

Girls will react 1000x better than directly adding sugars to the feed.

No confusion in comunication here.!! Again u speaking shit.u tried and failed unlucky.dont mean every grower is gna make the mistakes u did!! any new grower can add molasses to there grow with great success.simple and true.everyword I say is true,or I wouldnt share it in the beginning.cnt see people like u stamp down shit cause u dont know shit.more research needed clearly!! Peace happy growing;)

That’s the beauty of Cannabis. It thrives in many different condition. They “yea’s” and “Na’s” are out there for most of these conditions. I what he said about tasting the molasses. You can smell it to in your plants. For example floralicious plus. With bus clusters like this who wants to hide that sour skunk smell. The grapes and candy is sometimes overwhelming. The citris, diesel, chem fuck permeates the Milar bags even though it double wrapped in a baggie ass well. “Is that a skunk in your shirt pocket?” Hell no!.... it’s molasses, sulfur and fertilizer. Maybe he should have asked how can something with such a small stalk produce this type of bud structure and yield. And with only 4 products. Ahem” we know he saw that. What grower would have missed that? Cobs 20” from the canopy.... well he could have missed that.
