Ask if you wanna know
Where it all began.
Can’t go wrong with a classic, just look at jay Leno’s cars..
First off it’s everywhere, well almost..
Making it cost effective.
If ya digg it up from a good spot it could be packed full of rich nutrition and worms. Bonus!

Figured I’d kick these off...

I give the classic “dirt” a 3 outta 5 rockets

Dirt gets a 2 out of 5 spliffs from me @mohawk warrior simply because I have little to nfi about soil other than I want my hydro to have as much of the good dirt stuff.. without the dirt!
Sounds like you can rock the hydroton review

Dirt really snags that 3rd rocket because it’s everywhere

And how the hell can you be rockin hydro and have no idea with soil? Too heavy handed on the juice?

I'll give it three. Could easily have been one, but I will assume for the sake of my vote that we are not talking about random dirt, we are talking about good soil, whether put together with the some super soil or like mix, or just good natural soil with solid drainage and lots of life and nutes in it. Around where I live, a random hole in the ground will grow bugger all. My outdoor grow was in containers of promix HP as a result. Modifying the clay dominated crap around here was just not worth considering in the time I had.

The term "dirt" covers a lot of ground, as it were.

4/5
There are some great soils out there, it's easy and cost effective, it can grow great bud for autos even without nutes but if course giving some boost in flower is ideal. It's also a great buffer agent and most plants will grow bigger outdoor so don't see why anyone can knock good soil unless they just don't know what good soil is.
Fox farms and bluesky super soil is amazing, i'm a soil guy

Dirt isn't the same as soil, soil = dirt + organic matter. There's all different types of soil 2. Soil is a very interesting topic.
