One to grow on
I've got of these that popped for me this morning. It's in a monster 45 liter Air-Pot lol. I was curious so I thought what the heck. I haven't seen an auto grown in such a big pot and I wanted to see what it would do.
It's kind of a poor man's organic living soil I've got going. Started with a compost consisting of:
I let this compost until everything was broken down. It went surprisingly fast. A couple weeks at most. After I harvested my BAM, I added the soil from that grow and then the following:
It was about a 70 liter batch. I mixed this well and then filled the big airpot directly. I thought this might give the fungal networks a chance to grow and not be disrupted if I had filled the pot after cooking. I don't know. After doing so much reading on no-till gardening and starting to use those methods in my outdoor garden it kind of made sense.
I'm probably forgetting something, but I'll add it later if it comes to me. Here's a pic of the lovely young lady.

- coco
- fresh comfrey
- seagrass (which at the time I thought was kelp but have since realized otherwise, ah well live and learn)
- a few liters of fresh earthworm castings to kickstart the microbe population

- fresh earthworm castings
- granite rock dust from a stone cutter
- alfalfa meal with added molasses from a horse feed shop
- vegan tomato fert (soy and cocoa husks I think)
- rice
- powdered eggshells
- perlite
