Grow Room Dehumidifying 4x2ft tent

can you make a 30liter dehumidifier tank work outside the tent? if you put one inside the overall temp will rise. Outside, if you have good ventilation, it will suck the dry air in and provide proper conditions. The 4'in is more that enough for a 4x2 moving air in and out.
just don't go buying those little dehumidifiers with little to no capacity, they don't suck enough moisture to keep a cows balls dry for 5 minutes.
I've used small dehu's and ran a small hose from the collection tank to a 5 gal bucket with success. It isn't that they don't suck enough, usually they get full and turn off.

Hi guys im growing in a 4x2ft tent in a small box room of my house which is around 9ftx9ft.

I am considering options to dehumidify the area. Where I live gets lots of rain and humidity does by quite high in the autumn/winter.

Also I dont really have the space for dehumidifier in the tent as I will have 2x15l airpots in there. I have a 4 inch ac infinity extractor fan and using passive intake into tent any advice appreciated.
I would just dehu the whole space not the tent. As long as you have good air flow in an out of the tent you should be fine. I would get a decent size dehu, and run a hose from the collector into a 5 gal bucket, just so it doesn't shut off as frequently. If you keep your RH around 50-60% you can dry your crop in the same area and start another run in the tent at the same time.

I run a 50 pint dehumidifier and it takes care of 2 2x4 tents and a 2x2 tent as well. Keeping the humidity at 55% lights off and 50% lights on. It simply sits in the same room as my 3 tents. I live in Michigan which is the king for high humidity especially in the summer. We sometimes have dew points in the mid 70s at night. Yes it does use a lot of energy, but its a sacrifice for happy ladies

Great advice guys thanks so as I will be running plants on a 18/6 or possibly 20/4 schedule I shouldn't need to leave running 24 hours would running for 2 hours before and after lights out do the job? This is assuming with lights on it stays within acceptable humidity range. What I meant is switch on 2 hrs before lights out and leave on until 2 hrs after they come back on

Just keep an eye on your high and low points, I don't see any reason this won't work. Will save on energy also. But you also don't want big swings in RH, can cause your ladies to hermi if it's too extreme. You may find running it full time gives better results because its more consistent.

Great man thanks i think it'll be money well spent happy enough paying around the 100 mark if it does the job.

Thanks man smarter option would be to run full-time I suppose wont be a big deal should only need from mid flower until harvest anyway
