Hello all,
Newb here about to harvest my first run. I invited the lil lady in for a drink, but I really wanted to have a look at her trichomes! Trichomes are cloudy but I noticed she was still very heavy and hasn’t been fed for a few days. She is an outdoor gal and the heat here in Northern California was hot last weekend hitting 110 F. This last week the weather wasn’t as bad due to the smoke in the air from Oregon fires. My other GG4 and CM ladies are doing well. Any insight on what to do is appreciated. Thx

Many strains will stop taking so much water at the end, but she really doesn't look that far along. She looks healthy, not much you can do about the temps outside. Am a norcal grower as well. Am out on the delta. I run a round of autos outside april start, june end. Then move the growing inside the rest of the year.

Thanks Arthur, yea I pretty much stunted her with a supercrop after watching a video of Kyle Kushman :( Trichomes are barely turning cloudy so I’m thinking a Few more days?

I’m now running 14 autos in a 5x9 inside but feel I already may have messed them up because I flipped them at 3 weeks from popping accidentally by ha ring lights off to long (wasn’t aware you can flip autos). What do you think?
Also, I grew up here in the Delta in Stockton!

I grow both photos and autos. Photos I torture the hell out of with training. Autos I've found I get better results if I top at the 4th node, spread a little and leave alone. 5 autos in my 4x4, coulda fit 6.

3 photos 1 week since 12/12 started.

Autos are my own genetic mix.

I don't think your lights caused anything. I usually see sex about day 20 and am in flower a week later. Autos do their own thing... personally, I find them more challenging to grow well than photos.

Just from the overall structure of the first plant, I'm guessing a week or more, a lot of white pistils still.

Those autos are looking great! Thank you for the info, I feel a lot better now. Yea, I hear so many say autos are easier but these girls are very sensitive! I swear they get mad at me when I zip up the tent. :)

Also, how can one get there hands on some DTG seeds? Id love to support my local genetic seed bank.

Ha! DGT was and is a hat tip to my father, he was brewing beer and wine as far back as I remember... which is close to that date on the label. My oldest daughter redesigned the logo with dads blessing.
At this point I'm just beginning the work on an auto strain. Hoping to run the F2s when the photos come down. At some point, I may make a full run of feminized seeds, but I figure that's a bit off yet.
Keep good logs and records on here with your grows, regular updates with good clean pics. That's how you stick out to breeders looking to test seeds. Always cool to see free seeds with good genetics showing up in the mail.

Each grower chooses when they chop based on circumstances or their own preference. For instance. Some growers like 5-10% Amber tricomes, some prefer a little more.
Or an example of circumstances: I'm on the east coast and we have insane humidity, so if I had an out door grow, I would be forced to chop in the next week or so to prevent mold. It wouldn't really matter where I was in flower, it would be better to get a smaller yield than to loose it all.

Used from the onset of flower, mold will not be an issue. I was part of a group here on AFN testing this product last fall. rH was 65 to 80% intentionally. Not one issue. Now something that I use when I think I may be battling an rH problem on a run.

Huge thanks for the heads up on the product @Arthur. Right now the RH is 90% at 72°(f) overnight lows around 65°.

Imagine if it was a cash crop... knowing is more than half the battle!
