I've been using a baking crock dish with a glass lid and a temperature gauge in an electric oven to decarb.
It has worked okay but I'm looking for a more controlled temp environment and less smell so I found the "Nova" decarboxilator.
It looks like it gets fairly good reviews but durability seems to be an issue.

Anyone have this one and are there any others on the market?
 
I havent tried the "Nova" decarboxilator but you can always decarb sous vide with no smell at all.
I've done it a few times and even though I havnt tried any other methods I really liked the result and you have full controll of temp.

i have decarbed inside a mason jar to kill a lot of weedy smell.
now i only decarb dry sift/kief/bubble hash as the smell is minimal,and the taste 100x better.
most ovens read 10-20c high

Ditto on the mason jar and dry sift. I’ll put the mason jar inside a turkey bag and absolutely no smell. Just add five minutes for the mason jar to heat up. Like coking I’m glassware vs metal pan.
 
I try to avoid decarbing flower whenever possible. I do not like the toasty flavor it adds to the bud. If I am making butter/oils In the Magic Butter Machine II I decarb in a closed jar in a hot oil bath on the stove after extraction. It is fairly easy to control the temperature 252°F for 27 minutes. If I am decarbing rosin to make chocolates I have a precision hot plate for that. See the link in my signature: Hot Plate for Decarb It is inexpensive and works well. The smell is minimal in all of these processes.

I use a Magical Butter decarb box. Instead of a Magical Butter Machine, I've used an STX Infuzium 420 machine to make cannaoil with my decarbed trim so far. Used the oil with a box of brownie mix to make some killer brownies that taste good and got me wasted. Ounce and a half of trim made about two cups of olive oil that will make plenty of brownies or drizzle some olive oil on left overs before heating in microwave. Or a tablespoon of olive oil packed with trichomes by itself.d

I have 1 it is the best invention ever lol. No, I use mine all the time works perfectly every time with no smell. Now when you open you can smell it but that's unavoidable I just open it in my garage. Some say it's to much money, and I agree $180.00 is a good amount. But it pays for its self over time. Some people are in legal states and dont have to cover smell so they can just do it in their oven. But I'm not legal yet so best way to cover smell is not to have any, which this does. Also if you have ever decarbed and it's not strong or didnt work? Now you wasted that bud, well I wasted several oz's way more then 180.00 worth. My case sometimes it worked sometimes it didnt and now house smells like bud. Ever since I got my lift perfect decarb, better than I ever did no smell. Plus I decarb rosin in silicone containers no problem. Just put in place lid on and hit button. Done 2hrs later ready to got. You can also infuse oil/butter after you decarb in it with no smell. I love mine would have paid more for it than I did lol. It's up to you, is perfect decarb everytime with no effort or smell and also infuse with it worth $180.00 to you? The only people that tell you not to get 1 are people who haven't used 1. Anyone that has used 1 will tell how great they are. I have no affiliation with ardent just a happy customer.

I have that, less than impressive for me. I would line the inside with foil and grind bud up. I know the say not to, but worked better that way and still had smell. I got a lift now works much better. Its sit in the box now collecting dust lol.
 
I use my press now, and this little unit. I'm more confident I'm @ the correct temp with the press. My oven's have been all over + or - 10.View attachment 1118315
That's a neat little thing, never seen that. I had oven temp swings too, I got the lift and perfect everytime now. This thing looks cool, if I knew it was as good I would use that. How about smell? I gotta keep smell to zero till we go legal.
