Day #51

After finding the Autobeast's threads on this forum I realized how off I really was, lol. I read all 230 something pages of his auto topping thread and phew! With that, on with the show.

She is doing ok. She started to preflower recently too so that's nice at day 51, cool, cool. I started to spread the canopy out and doing mostly leaf tucking with a snip here and there. I ended up removing the lower 2 sets of node just because they were not seeing much light and not likely to be good producers. So I have 8 main branches to work with. After reading the autobeast threads I now know to top in the first 14-20 of healthy growth.

I'm still having some trouble keeping a somewhat stead environment. The fan unit that came with my kit didnt have a variable knob so I bought a plug in one but the fan is still too strong. I'm going to buy a new fan. Lessons is, kits are cool to get you stared but in the end you will be piecing you own kit together to suit your needs. No two spaces are the same.

Not sure if I’m reading the entries correctly or not. Are you ‘gathering’ that amount of rain water on those days or are you watering that amount on those days? If watering that amount it looks like the plant is way over watered which can stunt the growth and/or cause root rot.

Day #54

I started to give some sort of nutrients seeing as how she is starting to look healthy and happy. I'm going to start with 1/4 dose of the Maxigro. That's 1/4 teaspoon per 32oz. I'm using quart containers so that's why I have it measured out like that.

Day #60

Looking healthy, starting to get into a little bit of a stretch I think but she's flowering too so I dont really know what's going on.

Added plain water today and I forgot to pH the water before I threw it in. Put down the pipe.... I'm using rain water so the pH is generally around 6.3 but I already had a pH lockout issue and I didn't want to take any chances. I grabbed another 32oz of fresh rainwater and pH it to 6.8 to try and even the 64oz of 6.3pH I put in earlier. It should be fine.

I bought a new fan with built in adjustability from 0-100%. It pumps out about 130cfm at peak. I need just a little negative pressure to exhaust the sweet smell outside but not so much that the humidifier and dehumidifier are constantly fighting. This little Terrabloom fan is super quiet and just what I needed.

Day #64

Caught up for those keeping track at home. Future updates will be in real time. Thanks for checking in.

So, trying to work on my LST skills and using a technique I saw in the autobeast threads. I tied down my branches to the side of the pot. I used butchers string because its food grade, strong and dosent fray (I used a twine type of string last time and it wasnt great. Strains in the buds and hard to pull out at the end.

Today was plain water but I have been giving her Maxigo at 1/2 dosage using rainwater. I pH after I add my nutrients. I realized today that after I add nutes, it drops my pH by almost 3.0. If i didnt check pH after, i would be giving nute rich water at a pH of 3.3. That would not end well.

Probably switching to straight bloom nutes but i wish she would stretch a bit more.

It looks like you might be overwatering a tad. The Down turned leaves and pretty wet lookin soil most times equal overwatering and this is your main reason that she’s small

I was kind of catching up from memory so I had to go back through and adjust my numbers. I was over watering a bit. Another issue was I didnt have my tent dialed in and temps and humidity were all over the place. I bought mini humidifier and dehumidifier and upgraded my fan. So much better.

Thanks. Learn, Grow, Learn

Nice. It looks great! Glad you got it sorted out

mmm....well, i won't say anything about the insane amount of water ur giving :yoinks: :rolleyes2:, but i do know thoze tempz are def too low & need to be more around 80f, give or take ;) jus me own 2 ctz & carry on plz...:smoking: ppp

Spot on.

I had to go back through and fix my watering numbers because I wrote them off the top of my head. I usually wait till my pot feel light and I have to dig down about a 1/2" till I feel dampness. I'm getting better each week. Too bad water uptake changes each week to.
