You lucky guy!!! The last time i was fishing is 10 years ago, but i have been once in Australia fishing tunas, octopus and a lot of big fishes cruising 6 weeks on boat the great barrier reef...

black bears can be the biggest pests, glad your's spooked

Yes they are pests...but if you get super aggressive with them, generally they flee. Its the populated area bears you really need to worry about...they don't fear humans.

Definitely, the boat guy told me to stop fishing, because the freezer was full!!!
