the 18ft isnt normal lol av never seen anything that size b4 haha i use a 9ft [HASHTAG]#5[/HASHTAG] here

Seen lots of 18ft surf rods, Never seen a fly rod that big, and fly fishing is big where I lived. And it is getting bigger as the boomers get older and offshore is too hard on the body. They learn to appreciate the quality of precisely presenting a fly to a Bonefish over the quantity in a Sail or Marlin they can't handle anymore. It's where the charter money is from those guys.

yeh its just a salmon rod but very old and 1 off the best makes u get ,hardy, over here its mostly river fishing its famous for fishing and a massive industry , its Scotland after all and remember this rod is over 100 years old when the tech just wasnt around then, u can easly pay over 1000 for just a hardy reel on its own , sea fishing is big aswell but u dnt fly in the sea here a beach casting rod could b around 18ft but even then ive never seen 1 that long
