I saw the chat earlier thought id put my theory out there.
If you cross an auto x photo no matter what u do even if you breed away from the "auto gene" the auto will become dominate. People who read about breeding will tell you the auto gene is a recessive trait because u dont see autos in the first gen offspring but this is true for other traits like smell, color, structure but it is not for what people like to call the "auto gene" you can see autos in F1 generations and but what autoflowering actually is, is this a Mutation that be comes dominate, which = Evolution. A mutation that is positive for the well being of the plant will become dominate and the plant will evolve so that all of its offspring have that gene but seeing there is no such evidence of an auto gene i say we cant keep callin it that. There is proof of an "flowering" gene that triggers a plant to flower once its senses a change in light hours, it is far more efficient for a plant to turn off the flowering response gene than it is to create something from nothing you have to GM a cannabis plant for it to create a new gene and you cant say auto breeders are doing that with crossing the very pollen the plant is producing on its own. Photo growers will tell you photo sensitive and autoflower are two completely different gene pools when there is no evidence to support that either. Early day cannabis was wild growing with semi low thc % same with the first autoflowers it took breeders to take a afghan x thai x mexico to create a trainwreck or a india x brazil to get a white widow. Theres early photo strains that where F20+ before they were ready. It took the same with breeding autos but since grow so fast it too half to the time to reach the level they are now and since photoperiod plants were already so advance cross breeding more of them only help further and created better autos. If there is anyone that can show me a straight ruderalis plant i will give u free pack of seeds. to my knowledge it doesnt exist All rudy came's a native photo plant the went auto on its own to improve its cycle. You can not take a semi auto or fast flower plant to F5 and expect them to stay 100% photo sensitive. FV and superautos are about(key word) the same thing and the only way to produce a steady stock is to take a female auto reverse it and cross it to a clone of your mother photo plant and do this over and over again when u need new stock. Sweet seeds have mastered this they are great at what they do they only work with fems so being the great breeders they are they can do the same cross over and over again with little to no difference between batches.
Look at it like this you cross an
auto x photo
F1= Fast Versions
F2= SuperAuto
F3= Full Auto or 2nd Gen Super auto depending on breeders selection
F4-F5 no matter what your going to get plants that flower on their own. I know i might rattle some cages with that but it makes way more sense than that what we have been told for years, now auto gene no such thing.

Umm when I get a chance I'll run over to train tracks and I'll show you rudaralis in it's natural small form I am Canadian and as a breeder I know first hand bout the issues surrounding autoflowers but my black ass has stayed small true to it's genetics rudaralis is abundant here in Canada I crossed a blueberry auto with a critical mass or critical plus as it's called today it was a photo it took bout 5 generations of back crossing between the two then to make sure it stayed auto I put pure rudaralis cross into black mass I now have crossed black mass with a amnesiaxxl auto from dinafem to try and up yields and size I will get 45 grams per black mass plant 9 plants to a 4x4 room
