Thanks for your thoughts. What's prompted this is that I'm not sure whether I'm utilizing the medium as good as I can, traits of the plant itself, and optimal pot size. I let a photo go root bound as a curiosity, i'll post a pic of the rootmass.
I harvested more than 8 autos this year. Can't say I'm thrilled about root mass in looking at them after harvest. But, I've no reference as to what is 'good'. Maybe mine were, maybe not.
Flipside is that the small waterings I've been doing are nute/fert heavy, and the plants have really been putting out with this. Just trying to isolate some things. If this stuff is strain dependent, then there's another variable  Cheers man :D
No problem bud. I'll read more into it myself. I know exactly what you mean as far as autos not filling the buckets out, ecspecially like that of a photo. My current autos I used a lighter medium (more perlite and some coco coir) and they're In 3 gallon buckets instead of 5. Waiting to see how they turn out. I've never had an auto fill out a 5 gallon or a 3 gallon to the extent of being root bound. The 3s get close though. I'll keep you in mind definitely. Like I said before, you've got my wheels turning. Lol take care.

It has been a productive day. I got a POT BELLY PET PIGGY. We have been building a huge pen that goes to our basement door. The little piggy is two years old and was neglected so we took it on so far really cool I will take pictures when prudent. It slept the whole night with a sheet on it's head LMAO
