I am going to try this method. Right now my girls are so small that I don't water to runoff. I'm using 5 gal buckets and the girls are only 2 weeks above ground.

I use 5gal buckets too. I water the edges of the buckets sometimes to try and coerce the roots to spread out wards and I also fill a tub with nutrient solution or plain Ph'd water and just set the bucket in there for about 5 seconds to try and get roots to go down lol at 2 weeks they should be working pretty hard on root system I believe.

I've been checking the root masses on the 5gals I grew outdoors this year. I find they dove down the middle of the pot, and then did a u-turn when they hit the bottom and came back up on the sides.

I've been testing watering based on this. Have you ever checked this before?

Hahaha! That will keep you safe for a while!

Next grow = Jack 47 for sure. Just not sure yet if I'll do two plants this time and put some CBD next to it. I think they finish quite differently. And since I have to use my cabinet for drying as well, I'd have to try and start them at different times. So I'm going to find some similar grows of the two strains to make a plan.
