Hps. Digi adjustable. So I can go 250w up to 600w. I added two lights and put all four down to 250w. Added an extra extractor. Still too hot. Wonder if I can find some cool tubes on eBay... aaarrgh... so heat is gonna be more damaging? Than lack of light? I can switch lights off in relay maybe?

Question... do you guys think ambient temps of 72F would slow down root growth???? What do you guys use in the ealy stages for excellwnt root growth, my plants might be moving slow due to the switch to leds dropping temps by about 7-12 degrees.. i had horrible grows in winter???

I personally think less light is worse for yeild than heat. How big an area are you covering? Would 2 lights at 600 cover it and maybe be about the same heat as 4 250's

Are your plants sitting on concrete during the winter

Hey guys. Loving the great pics. Inspiring!!
Quandary. I've spread the girls out a bit now. Added two lights. (Total of four) Temps have shot up. Despite adding another second extractor. (6 inch) I was planning on switching the lights up to 600w. But they're on 250w and I can't get temps down below 30' to 32'.
So.... less light? Or more heat? We are now in full flower with plenty of bud sites. Nutes are at full strength.
Any thoughts gratefully received? Feels like I'm gonna need to choose one or the other.
Hope it's ok to ask here?

Dude, we are in the same boat :welcome:
I`m swapping over to LED lights to handle the temp problem as soon as I can afford it.
Other tips that was given to me was to use a cooltube or a airhood reflector - both are viable options!
I got two small 24W fans and one air intake, one at the canopy, one at the lamp and one intake at the bottom of the closet with a output + filter on the top, but still struggling. Let me know how you fix yours!

And for the "less light", you should never flower on less than 250W, regardless of growspace.
Depending on your setup and financial situation, I would recommend to invest in a Airhood reflector with a 600W bulb or a LED plate (You can still use the 250W for Veg or seedlings).:greenthumb:
