These guys are awesome!!!!!! Saw them before.. Not sure if it's still the same lineup but it was Fat Mike from NOFX, I think Jeff from NOFX and I can't remember the band the other guys came from..

I think Rockwool is perfectly fine to use and I think there's a confusion between horticultural rockwool and the insulation type.. I'm sure you could use the insulation type, but from me doing a little more digging after reading this article, I found that old rockwool sources were found to have things like arsenic and copper in them, so they were dangerous. The newer style is clean, easy to use, almost impossible to over-water, and can be recycled with just a little process, not much more effort than one would use to wash their coco, hydroton or even recycle their soil.. It's about all I'll ever use when I start my hydro back up.. Only drawback is that it can be a bit cost-prohibitive if you're not recycling it.. Haven't bought it in a while because I bought bulk, but it was still close to $40 for a cubic foot if you buy it that small.. Price could be cheaper now though..

Guy have you ever had problems of calyx's not swolening up?? I had this problem with two girls, one is long time harvested and still has like that green unpleasant smell, and taste funny..

One of the first grows I did, I had an WoS AKR that looked like it was gonna be a broad but squatty plant.. Gave it all sorts of love and ended up being mostly stems with some very fragrant and strong calyxes.. I think I got a half ounce off of it, and caused me to think if I did something wrong.. Turns out, phenos can be awesome, or suck, all at the same time.. Took a while to get to that point.. lol

@bushmasterar15 I've been using Botanicare since I started growing!! I don't do hydro now, at least for the rest of this summer, but I still use their Hydroguard (liquid bacteria), Cal/Mag, and their Pure Blend Tea as supplements, but also have their Liquid Silica Blast, which was a great way to raise pH, and provide a great source of Si to the mix!! I just picked up a bag of their coco, which I will be using as a side-by-side when I try some hydro out again this Winter.. :pass:

Very similar to the early training i use for the outdoor girls
Was starting to notice my miniature version of the giant stalks you show lol. Very similar structure for sure

Frozen alcohol Frozen bud a little orange juice and we're good to go . :nono:

I use Pargro brand 'quick drain' rockwool cubes. they were fairly inexpensive. I don't remember how much, but I bought three sticks of seven 2.5x3 inch cubes and I have barely gone through one stick of them. I love them, I germinate right in them by putting them in a bowl of water an inch deep. Then they go straight into a hydro rez with a constant plain water line hitting the cube below the hydrotron. They do grow algea, but it doesn't hurt anything.

I don't understand how one would be recycled though, it gets tossed. No way to get the plant matter out of it without destroying it.

i used rockwol version, and I didnt noticed any difference vs non insulated ducting.. plus there was rockwool all over the tent and even in some girls too..
how hot does it get outside??
had a budd who didn't use insulated .. switched and it knocked the heat down couple degrees...
